I am very tired and just lost 2 levels of Notability because I chucked out Slowcake’s Amanuensis without meaning to.
I really should know better than playing this game half asleep!

Ouch. Would it make you feel better to know that you’re not the only one?
I accidentally sold my Singular Plant quite far into its growth.
You’re not a Neathizen until you sell it at least once! Welcome!
I’ve done that too. Be of good cheer! What is lost in Fallen London is usually findable again.
A misclick is how I got A Turncoat up to level 3.
Somewhat untrustworthy.
Yep. That one option where the sides are stacked the other way around from all the others.
Misclicks?
Restarting the “Attend to a Singular Plant” storyline.
I was freaking out.
A true Neathizen at last! You’re not one until you do that at least once.
May it be only once!
Ah, let me share my latest experience with RNG: With an 18% success chance to rob rob the Calculating Lapidary’s vault, it cost me 124 Scrawled Warning Notes, 5 sets of kifers and 5 rats.
But I did it on my 29th attempt! On top of this, I wasn’t smart enough to do this before using the other option on the card that uses the note form the theft. The sus cleanup would have been great!
Now, I need to steals two more times: one to get the other echo and one for safe keeping!
Due to a misclick, I accidentally got rid of this guy. I remember we were going out on a ‘date’ and I informed the constables about him. I hurt his feelings.
Therefore I didn’t find out what the rest of his storyline was. I could spend Fate, but no. And there are better ways to spend your Fate.
Another incident, I was on a Heist, I misclicked, my Cat-like thread dropped to zero, I got arrested and was presented to the judge for sentencing. But thankfully (or foolishly?) I was on friendly terms with the Masters, and I chose to receive a ‘pardon’ and avoided jail. At a cost of my Connected: Masters of the Bazaar.
I did manage to raise my Connected: Masters of the Bazaar back to 5 shortly after that, due to Christmas 2022 and a little help from the Railway Board’s Efficient Commissioner. Let’s hope I won’t eff it up again.
Nah, I knew I just couldn’t bear to leave that to luck. It took me some six Trade Secrets to be safe from taking any chances. My consolations to you, delicious friend, I hope you have your Classic Story by now the less stressful way.
Just a couple days ago, due to a misclick, I’ve sold the location of the Cave of the Nadir – which I wasn’t ever going to sell to anyone. It wasn’t even one of my preferred factions and provided me with an item worth only for its sell cost at the Bazaar. It took me a bunch of actions, 12.50 items, and a Favourable Circumstance to get my only Closest To of choice back asap, and I will have to live with that I have sold the valuable information to the people whose goals I neither support nor approve of.
I’m not sure if you can count this as bad luck: while trying to get the 4 echoes from Marigold statue card, I drew the Hellworm card a few dozen times, helped the revolutionaries a dozen times, got close to 30 Church favours!
And the statue card popped only 2 times! Now that I posted here, I’m waiting for it to pop few more times in the next hour.
I really wish there were something to mark a storylet option as un-selectable; like the opposite of the Plans button.
I’ve just misclicked and sold the way to the Nadir to one of the factions. I kept it in secret for role-playing reasons for several real life years. I was really sad when I open the game page just now and wanted a distraction ,and the misclick made me feel even sadder. I would bother the FBG team if I didn’t know that all mistakes and misclicks are final.
(I knew about protection extensions for browsers, but I play from a quite old phone most of the time and I didn’t even try to install anything to it)
I just blew half of my professional perks on reducing nightmares I don’t have. Oh the shame of it all…
Never noticed that those aren’t locked if you are missing the corresponding menace! Maybe something worthy of a feedback to the devs!
In regards to luck then let me just say I think the Implacable Detective has it personally out for me and somehow interferes with literally any of the searches I carry out with her cards. Out of at least a dozen used I’ve only been successful once. ONCE. And every. Single. Other. Time I’m nearing the end, literally one click away from either victory or failure, and decide I’d rather not spend the higher value items when I’ve already spent several lower-value ones earlier on, I lose. I don’t understand it.
