[quote=Aro Saren]Can anyone echo all the options to deal with the Drummer?
Mine was to unleash the rector: Fallen London I’ve not had a confrontation with the Drummer himself yet, but I dedicated the church to him and converted his followers (a use for my Ratty Reliquary!), so I can’t imagine he could be very cross with me.
I followed the Gilded Minister’s advice (as I understood it) and the letter of the Drummer’s demand:

Does the Inconsequential Clerk transform into an Inconspicuous Clerk mid-inspection, or are they two different people?
I think that’s just an oversight.
Indeed. Quite inconsequential.

There’s nothing I hate more than to be kept up by some unbearably loud neighbor. Punitive action was taken.

Is there any mechanical difference or long-term effect from burying the Drummer?
Because on the one hand my church is intended to be a quiet, peaceful place, and that drumming is getting on my nerves, but on the other hand WOW that burial option is expensive. (Unless there’s a similar cost to visiting him that I’ve not spotted in a quick look at the wiki - I’m trying to avoid spoiling things too much, but 300 echoes and a Queen Mate is hefty enough expenditure to make me wonder.)
Everything is listed on wiki. The result is the change in church qualities. Is there will be anything else - it isn’t yet written, and most likely isn’t even planned by the dev team currently.
No additional prices on other options. Not talking about balance here, because I don’t want to.
He does, and I think it may not be an accident or mistake - in my case, he was Inconsequential until Southwark and the Deviless agreed that my church didn’t belong to either of them, and then,
because suddenly his opinion matters.
(Thanks, Aro Saren, that and the option to involve the Submerged Rector settled my worries. I’M SURE EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE.)

There could be in the future. Burying the Drummer sets the quality ‘Church: The Drummer’s Due’ to 10, while all the later options set it to 3. The quality persists after the Church is founded. So the game does record whether you chose to bury the Drummer or to go down into the crypt to commune with him (but not what you then chose to do in the crypt).
Is there a source for Apostate’s Psalms for a Counter Church? Because as far as I can see, my only source for Apostate’s Psalms requires Apostate’s Psalms. Which is a bit of a catch-22
They’re made from Counter-Verses in your church after you finish the storyline there. Storylet is called “Promulgate DOctrine”.
I rather hope that somewhen down the line, Legenda Cosmogone will also become available for those of us who are satisfied with our Church and do not wish to spend quite a lot of fate as well as quite a wealth in-game just for the two Legenda. Perhaps some later extensions of the Church-related content? While the building was deliciously beefy, the end state is rather light and the new church-related items don’t really have any uses for most players…
The Legenda would be a nice (and very welcome) capstone of our theological endevours…
Just in case someone is interested - here’s a table of possible combinations of Church Orientation and the resulting outcome
Humility + Orthodoxy + Isolationism > Church-in-the-Wild
Humility + Orthodoxy + Evangelism > Church-in-the-Wild
Humility + Iconoclasm + Isolationism > Counter-Church
Humility + Iconoclasm + Evangelism > Counter-Church
Ostentation + Iconoclasm + Isolationism > Counter-Church
Ostentation + Iconoclasm + Evangelism > Church-in-the-Wild
Ostentation + Orthodoxy + Isolationism > Parish of Hell
Ostentation + Orthodoxy + Evangelism > Anglican Church
In other words, there are 8 possible outcomes: 3 for Church-in-the-Wild, 3 for Counter-Church, and 1 for each of Hell and Anglican Church.
Both Hell and good ol’ C of E require the combination of Ostentation and Orthodoxy.
Humility+Orthodoxy will always allow you to stay Church-in-the-Wild and Humility+Iconoclasm will always make you Counter-Church. Isolationism and Evangelism do not really matter here.

Very useful and much more comprehensive than trying to understand the process from the wiki (at least back in the day).
Kudos.

Thank you. I’ve redrafted it in a more logical and obvious way.
I Have a question for those who’ve tried it.
If I use the Fate option to reset the church, do I lose the Museum of Souls and the Garden upgrade I’ve purchased?
I don’t think Garden will be affected.
And these upgrades are now cheap anyway.
Drummer’s choice is revealed: if you decided to murder him you won’t be able to add him to your GHR board. That’s not a joke - he’s a possible director, if you dedicate your church to him.
Isn’t the dilapidated church you repair in Burrow-Infra-Mump the same one you find in For All The Saints?
If not, is the church from F.A.T.S. ever mentioned?
I don’t recall seeing any references to it.
