Reserving the thread for when the content is out.
Thanks for the foresight.
The Railway is Here! thread is starting to strain under its amount of posts. It’s getting increasingly difficult to post there without hitting a loading bug.

Prediction: In order to to make a statue of yourself at the Burrow Infra-Mump, you need to get a decent amount or max out the Newspaper qualities (Cardinal of Conspiracy, Prophet of the Gutter, Defender of Truth).
What’s a Burrow Infra-Mump, for the uninitiated?
The in-game description is “Burrow means ‘hill.’ So does ‘Mump.’”
The out-of-game game description is, it’s the next planned stop of the railway. It’s not accessible yet, but if you’re all the way to Station VIII, you can see the option available but date-locked until “After Hallowmas.”
Out-of-game, there’s an actual place in England named Burrow Mump.
God, I hope not. Those newspaper qualities are a drag to grind.
You gotta wait for the cards to show up, and it becomes a whole thing.
I mean, isn’t that the point of a grind? Something that takes a really long time, and the main reward is the accomplishment of having done something that takes a really long time?
The fancy accomplishment statues aren’t any better than the normal ones, mechanically, so why not make them dependent on those qualities?
I’d like that, it would finally give me the excuse to go back and work on them, I got distracted when all three of my newspaper qualities were 3-4.

I mean, it is my own prediction, so there is a real possibility that it won’t come true. However, there are only so many long-term grinds that can be used to justify making a statue, and since we are headed towarded Counter-Church territory, it only makes sense that the necessary qualities are based off of mass media manipulation a.k.a. newspaper shenanigans. It’s either that, or we finally get statues based off of Paramount Presences, Renown 50s or the glorified trophy that has yet to get a purpose in-game, the Heptagoat.
Then again, it is possible that the Burrow-Infra-Mump will not have statue options, but I doubt it given that every other station lets you dedicate a statue to yourself. Good luck.
My version: to build a statue in Burrow-Infra-Mump you’ll need a statue of yourself in every previous station.
I’ll throw my hat in the ring: Available statues include False Saints of the Counter-Church. And if there’s any option for myself as a Counter-Saint, I am 110% taking it.
Awaiting update, since the hallowmas is finally over. Also, bumping the thread.
I haven’t said a thing about today. Just awaiting.

We also have "Scafell Pike" (Pike = hilltop; Scafell = treeless hill) and of course "Lake Windermere" (either "lake Wind’s lake" or "lake lake lake", depending on who you believe). Not to mention a certain country that has "the City of Washington" as its capital (Washington means "the town called Washing", where "Washing" translates as "the village by the river". So "the city of the town called the village by the river").
To come back to the GHR, I can’t help thinking that "Burrow" has other meanings in English, to say nothing of its connections to "Barrow" with all the complicated freight that carries. Digging into ancient burial mounds in the Neathiverse? What could possibly go right?
Any word on when the update will be?
I’m reluctant to spend actions, in case I’ll need them for the railway.
Or do FBG not work Saturdays, making the weekend safe to play as normally?
FBG does not work weekends, you are free to spend your actions.
I am here to state that I am emotionally and psychologically exhausted by the burden of grinding out enough skeletons to ensure I can bullrush all the station constructions. 2000 scrip is a safe minimum benchmark, right? I usually aim for 3000.
After I aim for a comfy 3000 golden parachute of scrip I’ma try at last embarking on an echoes grind for the Heptagoat because it suddenly occured to me having one or more (I already have one Ubergoat) Special Hell Goats might lead to some interesting reactions once we finally arrive at the gates of Hell. Which is going to take some time, but all the Rumors of the Upper River you can churn out riding your rails (far oustripping getting the Board to vote itself a share of dividends I have to say, which also risks setting you back one board meeting when you least want to be short one board meeting) has given me a modicum of hope.

I’ma just raise the idea that we might literally be building a railway station over where a Prince(ss?) of Hell was sealed away, because of some very memorable ESes where I encountered hellish nobility just kind of hanging out in the hinterlands. Let’s see: There was the dionysian piping princess, the martyr to love imprisoned in the form of a cathedral, the Bull-Prince (who technically wasn’t there but left quite an impression if I remember right). There’s at least two buildings in London who’re Hellish nobility too aren’t there? One being the court who really wants to put one over Virginia, and one…debatable case in Sunless Skies revealing to be a very disenchanted devilless and former associate of the "Repentant" Devil who by that era is just squatting in Hell’s embassy eating the structure.
Not sure why you all are in such a rush to prep for station releases. They’re not going anywhere. I’m just out here grinding Poet-Laureate for the statue.
