Burrow Mump is a real place that has a real ruined church. I’d like to think I would have noticed if it was named as such in the story you refer to. But there is no guarentee, I do tend to miss things.
Indeed it is a real place with a real ruined church! https://thirdeyetraveller.com/burrow-mump-somerset-levels/

A question to anyone who has re-set the church via the Fate option. Do you re-play the entire story and get to choose a new Parish Council etc., or do you just get to chose new direction of the church?
I plan to do a first play just for fun, and then strategize to get the proper church I want afterwards (as I want the two Legenda of the fate option).
But I would hate to screw up some choice in the first run (such as making a wrong choice with the Drummer) if the story itself does not reset with the ‘Refound the Burrow Church’ fate option.

I have copy-pasted below the exact wording of the game instructions on the reset option. I have not personally confirmed it.
Return to the Delightful Reverend in London to appoint a new Parish Council and begin the work of Burrow again. You will also gain two Legenda Cosmogones.
If you really want to play through the story twice, then you do you. But two things to consider. First, it’s very in-game expensive. Multiple steps require spending valuable and difficult-to-obtain materials. Easily several hundred echoes. Second, it’s now possible to acquire Legenda Cosmogene without Fate.
Founding the Burrow Church is a really fun in-game experience, and I absolutely think the best player experience is to #YOLO without pre-planning your church type. But if you’re intending to choose Church of the Wild or Counter-Church of the Wild, then I think the most sensible option is to fly by the seat of your pants two-thirds through, and then take a quick check to see if you’re already on the right path or just need some gentle nudging to get there.
Thank you. I appreciate hearing that. I will take that into consideration ^^
Well, I finally reached this place over the weekend. Still undecided on what kind of church I wish to create. Devils vs Spy lowlifes vs Hippies vs Southwark’s extremists. What a selection eh.
I was also presented with various ‘route choices’ for building towards Moulin. Each choice either has a particular board member influencing it, or one choice just builds across the battlefields with no input from those board minions at all.
Since Feast of the Rose is coming soon and there might be a chance that a Burrow church required companion might be available for free, I will put further church stuff on hold and do by grinding elsewhere.
Maybe further proceeding with the Gondolier quest in Jericho Locks. Or deal with Furnace Ancona, who was rescued by me and is currently recuperating in Station VIII.
