The action they unlock is also pretty good. “Fundament” hehe…
Actually, I’d say that grinding Parabolan Orange-Apples by researching Percipient Eggs is quite a useful way of passing time for those who are not entirely disinclined to use the Bone Market. It certainly makes building up a stockpile of POA go faster than buying them in your base camp for Bone Fragments. And many of the Bone Market (primary) goods are highly useful if you are in the process of building up your Railway.
For me, this more than makes up for the lack of secondary skill increase…
I dunno, it really doesn’t seem like a good deal to me. At a glance it looks like between buying the egg and the amount of actions required to complete the research, it more than entirely negates the savings on the tree fertilizer.
Seems like a strong assumption that the project was supposed to add toxicology points but they forgot to include it.

Finally found all six of the Augmentation sites; a few are in different places this year:
Grotesque Augmentation: Department of Menace Eradication
Augmentation in the Very Latest of Fashions: Mrs. Plenty’s Carnival
An Augmentation Applied on the Sly: The Flit
Ornate Augmentation: Veilgarden
An Augmentation Rejecting Convention: The Shuttered Palace
A Contorting Augmentation: Wolfstack Docks
The Tailor is in Ladybones, as was the case last year.
It’s occurred to me that there may be other sites: the "Speculation about Whitsun" content suggests that one might find more Augmentations as the "Speculation" quality rises higher.
Aged Invigorated
Theological Aug - Labyrinth of Tigers - 2 Extraordinary Implications
Grotesque Aug - Dept. of Menace Eradication - 6 Correspondence Plaques
Aged Enlightened
Sly Aug - Flit - 6 Compromising Documents
Mirror-shined Aug - Mahogany Hall - 2 Mourning Candles
Scarlet and Percipient Invigorated
Ornate Aug - Veilgarden - 2 Journals of Infamy
Rejecting Conventions - Shuttered Palace - 2 Tales of Terror
Scarlet and Percipient Enlightened
Very Latest of Fashions Aug - Mrs. Plenty’s Carnival - 2 Visions of Surface
Contorting Aug - Wolfstack Docks - 2 Extraordinary Implications
Sartorial
Ladybones - 3 Ha’Pennies
Experimental
Anywhere, needs augizmo (device with nonsense name costing 5 Ha’Pennies)
Exactly the same as the previous year and listed in the guide. If I didn’t know better I’d think you a troll.
Speculation does not open new augmentations, it can be used to print a special newspaper at level 10.

My apologies; I could have sworn I read texts to the contrary in the game this year, but probably was mistaken. Thanks for putting up the list.
You don’t.
… unless you’ve been around since last year and kept some. Alas, I didn’t :( This year I’ll save all of mine.
Thanks. I know the triple augmented stuff was deemed non-fate now, so I was trying to figure out where the extra pennies came from. I guess this would be the first year we could see if they carried over from the previous year.
Does anyone know if you can get those pets from sending eggs to other players by having it rejected and bounced back to you the same way the Feast of the Rose gifts work?
AFAIK, no, because the recipient cannot decline them, and thus they lack the cancel button too.
Though never tried myself.

Yeah, that’s such a wonderful Rose experience when some player you’ve never heard of sends you invites in the middle of the night and immediately cancels them – not once but several times. Way to go. Mind you, there are ways to deal with delightful people like that.
Well, I know who to target for the old bait and switch next year. ;)

The recipient can decline them on the Messages tab. The sender has their Amber Ha’penny returned, but loses the egg and doesn’t get the companion.
I have a question about which Scarlet Egg creature it might be best for me to get. I was around last year for Whitsun and kept all my Ha’pennies. I got the Augmentation device this year and have one Ha’penny left that I think is best spent on a Scarlet egg creature , of which I am missing the Suspicious Iguana , the Rubbery Dragon and the Unquenchable Firebird.
I somehow suspect the Suspicious Iguana is not the way to go so between Unquenchable Firebird and Rubbery Dragon does one have clear advantages like Viscount’s collar had over Viscountess’s collar during FotZ? I will also mention that I am late game player with the Nemesis ambition (still very early in it) who has only dabbled with Railway and Parabolan War content but am clearly looking forward to doing so. I also have not spent any Fate on the game and don’t think I will any time soon so I am lacking any Fate items that might replace either the Unquenchable Firebird or the Rubbery Dragon.
I would probably get the dragon. If you happened to pick up a fingerking moot last Hallowmas, I’d say choosing the dragon is a no-brainer.
Thanks a lot. I don’t happen to have the fingerking moot but I think I’ll get the dragon anyway.
If anyone’s willing to exchange eggs, I’d be happy to do so this year.
Is there any way of interrupting a hatchening, even at a loss? I messed up and started a hatching cycle with an egg whose creature I already possess, and I’d rather have a bit more time for scheduling hatchenings than having a spare creature (which bothers me quite a bit more than it should). Thanks!
Afraid not! It kinda sucks

It does suck quite a bit! Here’s hoping FBG implements a creature exchange programme in coming Whitsun festivities. I’m sure there’s a Cryptozoologically-inclined Collectionist or two that would be delighted to hand the player half a dozen Echoes for getting their hands on a hellish Auroch or a disquieting Foxwolf.

It’s also bad if you’re trying very hard to get your hands on as many egg pets as you can and you’ve now wasted a full 24 hours and miss out on one

Yes, that’s my pickle in actuality, but I don’t expect they will introduce any change on that front before my egg hatches, so I was just focusing on the thing that seemed like an actual possibility haha. Hope you weren’t too screwed when a misclick broke your scheduling.

Four nested quotes? Really? Come on, guys.
