Doesn’t the hint for the clue only show after someone finds it? So it seems the final one is as yet undiscovered by any player. Which makes sense, because if anyone had found it, the location would probably be listed by now.
I’m not sure I find the idea of the normal talking rats willingly hanging about on that rock with no special attachment to it any less bizarre.
Has anyone checked Adam’s Way or the animal circus down there? I don’t see it on the list of checked places (sadly currently trapped in Irem so can’t go myself)
(Edit: Wait just spotted it on the list. I always forget that Apis Meet is the name of that port. It’s locked in my head as either Adam’s Way or the Elder Contient).
“Somewhere Fungal”? Shroom hopping or Mangrove College would seem the most likely but they’re already on the list as checked. Mangrove College having acquired Diogenes, maybe? Not that I have the actions to sail all the way out there and check…
Mangrove College it is! Complete a few expeditions and talk to the Hintershroom
I just played Written in the Glim and some of the echoes are damn great considering the current state of London! I echoed the most interesting ones (upper ones are the most recent).
This phase is lasting longer than I expected! I expected to wake up this morning with it over, but I see the fight had barely begun even though all the clues were found.
I’m still collecting more clues. I don’t think I can get to all 20 though.
I would really appreciate it if while zailing around to get to clues I could actually get the cards that let me access the Piracy one instead of needlessly raising my Troubled Water… It’s not as if the ports where I need to dock where safe too.
I deemed it prudent to make a brief stopover at the Khanate just to keep the ship safe while visiting Godfall, Irem and the Principalities and chasing down that ship. It’s quite an itinerary.
PSA for those who want to visit the Boatman quickly:
And if you want to leave ‘Purgatory’ quickly, this item might help a bit:
I have finished my ten clues, now turning them in, can’t be arsed with the Helicon House one.
Looking back, the most grindy clues were the University research, the Godfall pilgrimage, and the special Expedition. Evenlode diving was mid-tier grindy, so was dying and then making your moves to leave the Boatman.
I’m in a dream in Viric Jungle, intensity 8 - gripping. Snakes are dominant but can’t find the obsidian gentleman. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Maybe I picked the wrong dream. Or my dream isn’t intense enough yet.
I think for the Viric one, you need to have advanced a bit in the Parabola Wars storyline at your Base Camp.
Some of the clues have prerequisites that are not too straightforward, the Helicon House is another one. For that, you need to have Shapeling Studies then unlock a new location inside Helicon House.
I’m having trouble with the Godfall clue - I’ve made the entire pilgrimage to the saint twice and didn’t see any sign of the clue. Can someone point out to me where it is found specifically, or if there is any specific step one need to do to reach it?
Dear fellow Godfall explorers - you don’t need success on every action (looking at you, SA 16 check) but you still need to get as many Favour as possible because all oblations in total take like 16.
Maybe you can backtrace from that page. Can’t help you more because I didn’t even unlock that port yet.
For the Godfall clue, you need to perform the oblation at every station, and then cross the bridge of hands at the end of the pilgrimage. To have enough favour to perform all oblations, you need to succeed at almost all checks, so you will need high primary stats and/or shapeling arts.
If you have never crossed the bridge of hands before, you will need to cross it twice: once to shape the saint, then again to get the clue.
Also note that after getting the clue you can cross the bridge a third time for an additional reward
