I’m mostly called Racken in the corners of the Internet that I inhabit; though if you like you may call me Mathieu, after my Fallen London character.
I came to this game like many, through its mention in Extra Credits, though I came late, since I saw that particular episode on an archive binge. In any case, I’m in the neath now, and it is lovely to meet you all!
Hi! My name is Shyam, and my in-game character is shyamwolfstrider. I’ve been playing for a couple of months (I think). Nice to see folks here who are so passionate about this game.
Good evening! I go by EstellaLooming in and out of the game. I’ve been playing for a couple months myself and posted somewhere else in this forum earlier. I thought I might as well reintroduce myself here anyway. It’s nice to meet my fellow Fallen Londoners and I would be happy to accept any calling cards or offers for social actions.
I’m a bit new to the Neath, a few days old, but I do feel as if I have been progressing well since. I am very, very, curious to get to know you all and understand your secrets, as well as all of Fallen London’s.
I go by JadeLiCat (Or Emilia Davenport in game) and I’m an aspiring writer that’s new to the game. I hope to make new friends here and have fun with the people here!
I am commonly referred to as Streeca. I am a masseuse and/or masseur by trade, and the color of my stockings notwithstanding - any services of a more advanced nature are available by private arrangement and on a case-basis only.
Good evening, delicious friends!
I’m a new player (I joined Friday) and I’m still learning how things work in this marvelous city, but I’m enjoying it nonetheless.
I sincerely hope to have a wonderful time with you gentlemen, ladies and individuals of mysterious and indistinct gender.
Good evening, my darlings! I am Greenstar54, a lady who has recently come to reside here in Fallen London. I’m am still uncovering the mysteries of this town, but I am eager to make new acquaintances and learn more. I enjoy books, dancing, birdwatching, Latin and the classics, and good Discworld references. Have a pleasant day! edited by Greenstar54 on 7/6/2014
Hello hello, this Planet Gene- …no, wait. Strikethrough isn’t a thing so I can’t do that joke properly. Curses.
Regardless, in and out of game, I go by the handle ‘Dragoshi’. On details more relevant to the game I am a most peculiar sort who has decided to put their talents towards being Shadowy and Persuasive (Never mind the fact that at the moment my current Training Profession is as a Tough, but that’s because my Shadowy’s like 80+ and my Persuasion’s naturally at 60.)
I’ve been playing for the past… I want to say at least over a month at this juncture, and have mainly been messing about with whatever is near. Though, at the moment my interests pertain more towards closing up stuff I’ve put off due to… well. Spending about a bit over a week harassing Spirifers for a veritable treasure trove of Souls (Literally 27.5k Souls.) so as to create a most ridiculous chain of deals that allowed me to get a nice deal on Brass Embassy Guest Room.
As for what I’m pursuing at the moment… Well, let’s see. A good way to get Rats on a String so as to open a way into the Labyrinth of Tigers along with getting into the University. Aside from that, other focuses include going further down the Cheesemonger storyline, getting all of my stats up to 100, and maybe doing a few good heists once I can work my Suspicion down, amongst other things. (Or just get myself thrown into New Newgate again and whittle it down that way. Honestly, whichever works. Better than having to go screaming headfirst into the d—ed Royal Beth to progress a storyline.)
I…n any case, that’s all I can think of that might be of any vague interest to mention. There might be more, but I doubt it. I’m not really the most interesting sort. That aside, good evening to you all.
Dragoshi, your Suspicion will go down very quickly if you drink a few Ablution Solutions, available in the Pawnbrokers section of the Bazaar for 1.5e each. Now that there’s a penalty for going to New Newgate repeatedly, you probably don’t want to use that as a menace reduction.
How quickly is ‘quickly’ in terms of Change Points? That, I might actually want to take a trip to prison just once if memory serves me right, but… In the case that it may be unneeded, I’d much rather just wait until the healing process of Time comes into effect and get Ablution Solutions then, as I’m somewhat stingy. Regardless, thank you for the advice.
How quickly is ‘quickly’ in terms of Change Points?
3 CPs per bottle, apparently. And -1 CP of Scandal. Seems a bit expensive to me. The 1-10 CPs for the PoSI option is worth it though.
…Yeah, I’d much rather wait for Time, the Healer to just work its magic instead, to be honest. Scandal’s not much of a problem for me at the moment, and the only other thing I could potentially be worried about (Nightmares at 4) can be handled with a bit of spiced wine anyways. I mean, sure there’s risk of Scandal gains, but I can usually just use Church services to keep that low, so. edited by Dragoshi on 7/8/2014
Ah, thanks, Gillsing. I didn’t realize it was (usually) more effective if you were a PoSI. I figured it was like the Tincture of Vigour and became less effective once your stats were beefy.
Good evening, I’m late to the party but was fortunate enough to find my way in before everyone went home.
I am a late twenty-something senior management type from that lovely land just across the pond and north of the 49th.
I love the work you’re doing and I’m pleased to support it.
My delicious past-times include eating protein shakes after various physical pursuits, fine rum, naps, occasional good company, and cats - of which I currently own zero, unfortunately. Note that the latter two past-times are not delicious, merely delightful.
Also of note, I have been known to answer to another name, one bestowed upon me by my progenitors : Ryan edited by sir_sheepish on 7/8/2014
Good evening, folks. :) I’ve been playing Fallen London since 2010 (though I’ve been known for taking a few hiatuses), but I’ve never set foot in the forums until now. :p
My surface-self is a 27-year old copywriter for an ad agency. She likes reading fantasy novels, playing video games, and pretty much everything to do with dragons.
My Fallen London self is…hm. Let’s just say she’s an interesting character with more layers and underlying drama attached to her than the world’s largest onion.
Hello there! I’ve only been playing about a week, but it’s been a week filled with intrigue and I thought it was time to introduce myself on the forums. I’m a resident of London Above (when I’m not away at uni studying history) and I enjoy reading/writing, gaming, cooking and a little bit of music making! Please feel free to send any cards or social interactions my way, my ingame name is Mcowle :) edited by Droogie on 7/13/2014
Guten Tag fellow dwellers of the neat.
The name is Rikus, playing the dangerous and watchful Rikus Schulze. I’m from germany and found this gem of a game through the Sunless Sea Steam sale. Playing both for a week now.
I am Frenzgyn and i am a… well, i’m still trying to figure out what i am and what i’m doing (really), aside from playing of course, i mean in real life.
I surely love some obvious things and some less obvious and hate poor writing and scripting, and that’s the reason why i don’t hate anyone here.
Have a nice evening.
