Rat Sending Simulator 2015

I think lounge has still the best return rate - 100k rats for 22k points is 4,545454…
The new king option is only 3.5 and costs an action :(

okay i forgot to make that not cost an action
also i fiddled with some of the numbers on the prize lounge ages ago to make them less good but i was having intermittent internet issues there so i guess that didn’t save properly like i thought!
Also the black market definitely has the best overall exchange rate b/c the best option is an 8 times conversion rate
the action cost required to get it is A Point though… it’s too good to make it a pinned card, but attaching some cost to it might make it too expensive to bother with??? i don’t know how to balance video game i just make up the numbers on the spot

I think you made the wrong option zero-action ;)

i thought i fixed that twice and ended up making both of them zero-action which just kind of lead to an infinite hell rat spiral.
anyway its for real fixed now

i do appreciate Input on Things because i have literally never made a video game before nor do i know the slightest thing about game design, and making my dumb parody rat game as balanced as possible is a TOTALLY HIGH PRIORITY (not, but if things are broken/unfun/grindy then i’d rather them to be fixed/fun/slightly less grindy instead. because i keep writing things and then putting them in very hard to reach places, which is deeply irresponsible of me, and i’d rather people end up getting to read those things anyway rather than falling over of grind boredom)

Doublepostin’ because i am the video game developer in this jurisdiction and my word is law:
I added some usability improvements: Mainly, grindier cards which you’d normally repeat several times now loop back onto themselves, so you don’t have to click back into it every time! Amazing! This also applies to the Black Market, making it more useful whenever it comes up! Astounding!
Incidentally, there is a nonzero chance that this might break something horribly and leave you imprisoned forever in one storylet, like a stuck record. That’d be terrible! Please let me know if this happens, possibly by tossing a rat wrapped around a brick at my head.
Also i fixed a bug where you’d never get to actually obtain your second Golden Rat because a Must storylet would force you to Standing 8 without actually giving the Statue. Whoops!

Was it broken? - then how did I get up to my sixth Golden Rat yesterday! Thanks to the option of bypassing Giles - I didn’t like him very much. The mysteries of the rat zone I suppose.

But now I must get enough Rats for a seventh Golden Rat - seven is the magic number, unless it is 77 or 777 or 7777 or 77777 …

7 was indeed the number! Oh my where am I now. Time to explore.

Man, the tournament is pretty impossible with 96 golden rats. Any way to reduce those faster than cycling through debt zone?
Also … Shock and Au! :-D
And now … Golf zone!

96 Golden Rats! I thought I was doing well to get to 7 … maybe there is something in some hidden corner that I haven’t discovered yet.

Huh. What’s the condition that makes “collect taxes” disappear?

Having 50 lumps of gold! There’s only so much gold you can pillage from one secretive office facility. Although I might raise that cap a bit, i dunno.
Also it was tied to the wrong quality and I just fixed that, which might cause A Problem if you don’t actually have that quality. i always get those two mixed up.

Anyway! Golf Zone is open now! Play golf! Win golf! Get Prizes! Repeat!
Maybe challenge a friend if i can figure out some way to make that work properly! Whoah!
Also, more items are going to be usable soon. Talk to a Rat King! Fiddle with circuitry! Contemplate a rat!
i’m probably going to have to write those later actually

Hell Zone? More like Well Zone, am I right? oh god send help

Under what name?

ETA: alternatively, send me a single rat or a message (I think that’s possible even from that zone), and I should be able to have you in my contacts after that.

ETA2: wow, this &quotedit your post&quot page shows different usernames than the normal &quotread a thread&quot page … sigh …
But that name (Kadael) works (in that it finds an account with that in it).
Also, did you just change it? I saw a completely different name a few minutes ago …

Anyway … rescue attempt now cost 3 actions? Since when?
I sent 7 of them anyway. Now I need to brew some bee(r)s.

Thank you for your help, kind individual. (yes, I just changed it, I was annoyed by it not matching up with my SN account)

Golf Zone is the most realistic simulation of golf I have ever seen in a video game where you mail rats to people. Those other golf games don’t have enough rats.

I strive to achieve Most Excellence in as many areas as possible so i can win every industry award.

The golf zone IS amazing. And really messed up. (In a good way!)

On a somewhat related topic, the option 1 score for 1 gold gives 5 gold.

I don’t know if golf zone ended up being as funny as i thought it would be, but trying to come up with incorrect sports terminology for three hours was incredibly soul sapping so i hope it actually did turn out well

Also! If you have enough rats, you can see a teaser of some new content i’ll probably write at like 5am tonight or something! And more items are becoming usable for real this time. Right now it’s just the Rat, Royal Rat and Rat Crown, but I think i’m going to end up writing at least a one-branch storylet for any item that isn’t wearable (the rat crown is the exception to the rule)

I wonder where I can find a legendary rat king …

They’re the non-tyrannical-overlord version of the Rat King Circuitry, but if you have rat king circuitry then you can rip a legendary rat king out of your circuits at the cost of losing them
If you don’t have either, they show up on an acquisitions card once you have a Rat Crown
