Parabolan War
The step right before that gave 3 Night Whispers, didn’t it? (I sided with the Viscountess.) How much more do you need?
I mean, maybe I have a bad memory, and I can’t find anything on the wiki to check, but I don’t recall that . . .

I was waiting to the final click for some sort of reward, but there was nothing.

True, I have new campaigns unlocked, but I put in a lot of resources and usually the game rewards you with something back.

Edit: I found the wiki. I have the quality &quotParabolan Commander A novice in the War&quot , which I should have gotten from &quotDepart from you Base Camp&quot, which in turn comes from &quotIn the Wake of War&quot? And doing this increases my Dangerous to 218? My cap for Dangerous is 212 . . . did I do something wrong? I feel that the 218 should have been the reward, in this case?

IMPORTANT: Apparently you can fish Mirrorcatch boxes out of the Waswood now. Still RNG, but much less so than hoping for a rare success in a card.

Regarding rewards: I broke the glass and received 3 Night-Whispers. The Wiki matches my experience: Break the Glass - Fallen London Wiki

No, doing what you describe will increase your Dangerous cap to 218. It means that after that, success on Dangerous storylets will give you change points to increase your actual base Dangerous, until it reaches 218.
>>>Do we know what the present stat caps are?
218 Watchful
230 Shadowy
230 Dangerous
224 Persuasive
Oh, jeez, I’m not even close. Or even close to knowing how to get Watchful, Shadowy, and Dangerous to those levels.

CAmpaigns for Viscountess and OPhidian Gentleman DO NOT give additional reward.
To get your reward in the “Wake of the War” you need a General. You get them only in the start of the second campaign, and the reward is given after the campaign for Cats, Snakes and Chess once - each general gets one upgrade after one specific campaign.
Also, you can upgrade your generals further in you lab.

Thank you!

That’s actually very helpful. I didn’t realise that, so it helps :)

To Catherine; I know . . . I meant &quotcap&quot when I mentioned the Dangerous increase. My bad for any lack of clarity.

Shadowy Gains up to 30 are at the Dome of Scales, but the price varies with the current dominant power (you can repeat the stories, anyway).

Dangerous Gains continue at first upgrade of your generals, then I don’t know.

Since the war against your reflection requires finishing the ambition, I guess the results very on your main reward?

Dangerous in Parabola. Honey bear, shark and after finishing campagns for cats, FKs and chessboard.
Shadowy in Parabola. Several Parabola/Flit Heists and after that in Dome of Scales (you need to finish at least one or two war campagns).
Watchful starts in Lab and continues in Station VIII.

My dangerous gains are at the 30 cap right now. I got all the generals their first upgrade and that did it for me.

… Apparently I’m blind or the note about getting them didn’t show up, but they’re definitely in my inventory.

Ahh, thanks!

So should I go with Cultivator or Oneironaut? Any advise would be appreciatived
So should I go with Cultivator or Oneironaut? Any advise would be appreciatived
Generally speaking, the cats favour cultivator and the snakes favour oneironaut. I don’t believe there is any particular advantage in taking one over the other, although it seems your starting morale when you embark on a campaign is dependent on the two qualities. The current formula on one of the move out! pages on the wiki is quality1 - quality2, with quality1 being the quality you have the most of, but I can’t verify that at the moment.

Character wise, a cultivator is someone who prefers to shape Parabola while an oneironaut is someone who is willing to be shaped by Parabola. Does your character seek control over themselves and their surroundings, or do they embrace the (un)natural order of things?

To conclude, it seems like it’s mostly a matter of taste. You can embark on any campaign, regardless of allegiance or cultivator/oneironaut, and your qualities will shift as you progress in the war depending on your actions. It’s not something that’s set in stone, so I’d say just choose the options that you’re interested in and see where you end up. There’s a lot of really nice flavour text for the various campaign actions depending on which mercenaries you recruited, so there’s no wrong answer here (in my opinion).

If you want to explore all campaigns and choices and consequences within them, then you culti/onei does not matter. You will most likely end up with culti ~= onei going this way.

If you want to stick to one side, then you should raise the stat for that side and choose campaing for this side. This is boring. But you will progress a bit faster (cut 10-15 or maybe even 20 actions from 75 action campaign), which leads to better EpA and less grind to reach +2 Glasswork Home Comfort.

Any recs for a good Shadowy grind to up the uncapped stats ASAP? Currently trying to get Shadowy up to 230 first, then worry about the Gant box since by then I’ll have drawn enough mirrorbox cards to fill up a bunch at once if that’s an option.

Mails (new social action) are pretty good. 4 times per week 1 action gives 70 CP. Fifth time its 69 CP, 6th 63 and so on its starting to fall quickly.

Other than that Doubt Street is pretty good EpA (4+ for end game players) and almost all actions are Shadowy. But grinding contraptions in Wilmot for it is not Shadowy…

You’ve found the Gant for the boxes? Where?

Edit: Oops, it is indeed just Irrigo

The Nadir is Irrigo.
