Ugh, and just when I thought… whatever.
Nadir is Irrigo, not Gant.
Thanks for the replies!
Some reddit post said the campaign morale has been nerfed or capped at 9 or sth like that…guess I shouldn’t been concerned that much just choose whatever looks right for me
So, I did the first campaign, grew a general, did a second (a five-stage one), got the Dangerous gain at the end of that (and the Shadowy gain in… the Dome? or the Jungle), and updated the general via the laboratory, and now appear to be stuck? Or at least I can’t see what’s obviously next. The Dome Of Scales had been ‘Becoming’, though now it’s back to ‘Occupied’, and I can’t grow any other generals. The options for campaigns are the same ‘tutorial’ one and the 5-stage one I did, and the other 5-stage one-- am I meant to do one of those again? (or for the first time, for the opposite side).
tl;dr, after the second campaign, introducing a bunch of cats to another cat, and updating a general… am I missing an obvious next step?

Once you start up a campaign, as long as you’ve sewn the arms to start recruiting the generals, you can choose the general for that side. The laboratory upgrade seems to only allow you to use generals in campaigns that they wouldn’t ordinarily go on (cat general on snake campaign and so on).
So it looks like with Dangerous maxed out and 9 Morale to start, it’s possible to do the 5-segment campaigns in around 50-55 actions. That’s pretty bonkers.
Ah, thanks. That makes sense (and also kind of doesn’t, in terms of allegiance, but shrug). I’ll do that.
Interestingly, it appears the option to uncap Shadowy to 224 provides a unique item-classified as a Zee-Treasure, in my inventory.
Edit: Also, it appears they can’t be sold at the Bazaar

Anyone know what the point of getting a Favour from Her Roseate Splendor? And if you can get a new Vial of Queenly Attar?
Use for this favour isn’t implemented (or found) yet.
You can get replacement the same way as the first vial.
Is it possible to further upgrade your Principles after the labwork? If so, where?
Oh, is this from trying to turn off the Heiress from collecting her jewels as much as possible?
I got my Dangerous Cap to 224, but it seems like it can go up to 230? Looking around, people seem to be saying each general unlocked gets you a new cap, and I have:
"Accomplishments
General: Principle of Hollows
Acquaintances
General: Principle of Horizons 3"
I tried to find Heralds, but nothing is showing an option to dismiss a General and/or swap for a new one. The wiki seems to imply a new one unlocks on a campaign associated with them, but my "Myself" doesn’t show me which campaigns I’ve done, and it’s a LOT of action points to waste on something I’d already done. I’ve definitely done the Gentleman, Vicountess, and Chessboard, so I’m assuming I must have missed out on Cats or Fingerkings? If this is the case, is there a way to see which of the two I didn’t do?
I’m just a bit beyond confused at this point; not sure if it’s the game not being clear, or me missing something, but there’s nowhere in-game to point me in the right direction that I can find.
Edit: I did two upgrades in my lab to a general, but I can’t see any new option to upgrade anyone else, either.
Second Edit: Thank you so much, PSGarak; I’ll start the Cats campaign now, then :)

Hollows is Snakes, Horizons is Chessboard. The Heralds that you’re missing is the Cat general. I’m pretty sure the first Tutorial campaign doesn’t give you a general.
I think Parabola could benefit from a bit more instructional text. And for generals in specific, I wish some options would be visible even when unavailable, as that would make things more discoverable. I had entirely the opposite idea of how they worked at first (fully upgrading one vs minorly upgrading all three).
Agreed on needing more instructional text. I’m still not sure how to unlock the Shadowy gains. I’m just under 206, but you’d think they’d signpost the availability of the unlock to make it clear.
Just as an fyi, you have to get your Shadowy Gains to 212 via search Parabola for a Place in the Neath. It’s only once your Shadowy is at 212 that you need to go to the Dome of Scales and work with your allied power to raise your Shadowy.
On the theme of unclear mechanics, right now the one thing that has caused me frustration with Parabola is how easy it is to miss campaign epilogues.
Doing a campaign is a lot of work, and the game makes it easy to take a break and come back later. So I’m generally mid-campaign like 90% of the time when I’m engaging with other content.
Some campaigns have Epilogue content which disappears when you start your next campaign. Mechanically this is because the ending you selected is represented by Stage of the War, which also holds progress on your current campaign.
I just found out now that the Chessboard campaign has an epilogue in Wolfstack? And the specific ending I got isn’t on the Wiki yet? I spent a day and a half completing the Chessboard campaign, and now I’m three actions into my next campaign (which is not Chessboard), so it will be over 100 actions before I can see that ending again (much less seeing the other endings).
I would really like it if the epilogues were tied to a different quality that stuck around longer. I would at least be satisfied with a small metatext signpost like "The Appalling Socialite has returned to London, for now" to at least hint there’s content I should look for.
Everything else about Parabola has been enjoyable for me, including the not-directly-war-related content like Dreams and Shadowy Gains (I just finished Shadowy Gains and daaaaang). But I also enjoy figuring out some of the obscure mechanics, e.g. how Generals impact stat challenges, and that’s probably at a level that other players could be frustrated by (there’s not even narrative text, much less instructional text, tying generals to those actions!).
I’m reminded of the Bone Market, which got an imperial butt-load of instructional text added sometime after release, which was a big increase in accessibility.

Seriously?!
Okay, that is annoying. I had absolutely no idea, and there’s nothing at all to point you to that there is/should be an epilogue (let alone in other locations) . . . I hope I didn’t miss any major lore, rewards, or items. I’d hate to have to redo a good four campaigns just to do what I could have done (had I known) over the past few days . . .
I also had NO idea campaigns had epilogues in London, and am now finishing up my fifth one… do they all have them? What’s involved in the epilogues? Should I redo all four others now?
REALLY should mention these somewhere at the closing of a campaign.
We know only two so far:
- Cat campaign, Accept Cat King offer, go to Dome of Scales to get Arbor Favours.
- Chessboard campaign, any ending, An Empty House in Wolfstack.
Cat campaigns epilogue is in the Dome of Scales. Note that there are storylets gated by Dominance, and other storylets gated by Stage of the War; it’s the latter that disappear when you start a new campaign. This is the only one I’ve actually played. It’s mostly repeatable actions that give 2.5e of rewards, with the text and reward depending on your final decisions.
According to the Wiki, Snake campaign epilogue is in the Viric Jungle. Chessboard is probably the only one in London, since the storyline revolves around a Londoner instead of a Parabolan native.
The other one, who knows.
