Paleontologist: The Bone Market

Since Exhaustion was introduced, the instructions text for selling the Investment-Minded Ambassador an Epaulette Mate has been changed to say part of the payment comes in Tailfeathers, I assume for the exact reason you described. I haven’t done it myself though, and the wiki hasn’t been updated to reflect this, so I don’t know how many Tailfeathers you’ll get this way. But you won’t be completely locked out of using the item if you need to, at least.

That is very helpful. Thanks!

it says you can search for skeletons somewhere with survey data…where is that?

Ealing Station is the best place. Also in wolfstack docks and geology of winewound everywhere in london.

Bumping the thread because Ivory Humeri received a small nerf. The only thing that’s changed is that, on failure, you take what I think is 2 CP of Wounds in addition to the usual Implausibility. They’re still extremely valuable, it’s just that you can potentially send yourself to the Boatman on a failure.

That have been there for a while. Happened to me several times at least a few weeks ago. Probably a rare failure.

To the wiki editors: Just recieved 64 royal-blue feathers and got 0 exhaustion. Skeleton making guide states that you recieve 1 point per 20 secondary rewards. Looks like it’s 1 point per 50 echo. And thank you for helping people.

Dear wiki lads: love the new and improved bone market guide, however might I suggest making the tables for buyers and skeleton parts a bit more prominent? Bigger fonts, bold, something? At first I didn’t realize they were even still available on the page.

Ooh man, I can already imagine how much I have to scroll just to get to where I want to make an edit. Bone Market and Skeleton-building is a LOT of stuff, ya know?

Okay, I made the update to the guide.

Hmm… ctrl + F could help, but I know what you mean.

Would it be possible to link the two tables on a extra page? Or would this mean that you will have to keep them up-to-date on 2 places then?
For players unfamiliar with the Bonemarket, the whole guide including the tables is very useful. But more experienced players most likely just need the 2 tables as reference sheets.

Okay, I have made the cheat sheets visible. Also, thank you for being more polite about it.

Some jerk on the wiki is not as polite though.

I’ve taken a look on the new version. For me it looks great. :)

About being polite: I may have some strange opinions and views, but I prefere a conversation on a constructive level. It’s usually healthier for both sides. Some boards/plattforms seem to be more like &quotloud makes right&quot (especially at some MMO/MOBA games) but for me this feels wrong.

If I understand the mechanics of &quottransclusion&quot correctly, it should be possible to put the tables on their own pages, and have them included into the guide in a way where they only need to be updated in one place.

Yeah, Optimatum did that before, in a previous version of &quotDebating Matters of Business with the Board&quot. You can see the code for that in the version of the page just before I replaced them with something due to the limit on the Include function.

P.S. I was trying to look for the code on that page. I swear that I have seen the &quottransclude&quot thing there in the source code in one of the earlier versions. You might have to ask Optimatum on how to do that one.

Well, I think the current version of the bone market guide should satisfy most people. Maybe wait for some more feedback before you invest more time in the appearance.

If people are complaining now, that they have to collaps everything for reading the explanations, you can still doing your research about the “transclude” thing. ;)

I’m already happy that we’ve got some people here that maintain the wiki, so I don’t want to cause more work unless tere is a benefit in it.

edited by Rostygold on 7/30/2020[/quote]Hello there.

  1. Thank you for the change on guide’s page.
  2. If my comment on wiki offended you i want to apologize. I am sorry.
  3. We all appreciate work of wiki editors. In my personal opinion FL is barely playable without wiki.
  4. Nevertheless you should not call people jerks or bully them in discord like you have some authority or higher status.
  5. Regarding your question in reply. I have no wiki editing experience. I probably can learn to do it pretty fast. I have no time for wiki editing, other priorities.

So this is interesting: Tentacles don’t seem to count as limbs.

You can now fish up Tentacles as an alternate success for an Airs-dependent option on a card in Jericho. (This is not as bad as it sounds: There are few cards, the airs range is 25-100.) Adding a tentacle takes up a limb slot, and increases the “Skeleton: Tentacles” values. BUT, the current body types (human, birb, etc) don’t seem to actually be locked by having Skeleton: Tentacles.

I don’t have enough Tentacles or actions to test this myself, but it might be possible to build a Curator on a human or thorny torso. Amalgamy yourself an extra four joints, and then stick tentacles in two of them. As a bonus, if you’re trying to obtain the Home Comfort, the tentacles will kill the Antiquity for free even if you don’t have a Scrimshander knife.

For similar reasons, it should be possible to make a bird from a Leviathan Frame.
