Why wouldn’t you try pressing "F5" key :3 ?

Because that didn’t work. I even went to the image itself and refreshed a lot. For me, he still looks like the image here: http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Sulky_Bat

The new sulky bat art, vermin free art, sympathetic about ratly concerns etc have all now reverted back to their previous art.
For the duration of hallowmas, sulky bat looked like this: Imgur: The magic of the Internet ,and the other qualities listed had photographic art in place of their usual art.

I looked at the Sulky bat artwork multiple times during the event and never saw that image, nor any other photographic artwork.
Guys… that wasn’t a glitch. THAT’S SOMEONE AT FBG IN COSTUME IN THE SULKY BAT PICTURE!!
I don’t go on their tumblr much, but when I do, the fan art and pictures are such a treat to see. :)
It must be a glitch of some sort, though. I clear my cache daily and use two computers, and I never saw those images replacing the regular artwork. If it was intentionally swapped I feel like I should have seen it, and that there would have been far more questions about it somewhere on the forum.
If it did happen to everyone, I missed seeing it myself as well (logging in daily with clear caches). Do you think it could have changed if you put it on your mantelpiece instead of just seeing it in your inventory? I doubt it could be that complex myself. I was way too focused on switching specific gear for confessions that I may have been blind to pet changes. My own comment is reflected more so on where the photo originated, which is very delightful to see!
Perhaps? We’ll have to hear more specifics from Cotton Dee. I agree that the photos are nice - it would have been amusing to see them in the game itself (if initially worrying since I wouldn’t have recognized the photo myself).
I believe KestrelGirl meant that it was not a glitch for the images to change, rather than it not being a glitch for some players to not see the changes. Hopefully that clears up any confusion.
Was it really just some players who couldn’t see it, though? I’m rereading the Halloween is here thread and nobody seems to be bringing it up. If most players couldn’t see it and the staff didn’t say it was changed for the holiday then I’m inclined to believe that the image changing to a FBG staff member was unintentional. I could very well be mistaken, of course, and I’ll accept that, but that’s just what my gut instinct is telling me.

I’m in agreement with Sara Hysaro. If some people did see a change to their Sulky Bat icon, I feel that was a glitch instead of the other way around.

I think I saw something like that in a different game, and that it was a browser cache corruption issue … except that several people had the same issue at the same time, only with different “substitute” image. Which suggest that the corruption was triggered by something server-side (otherwise it would keep happening randomly).
As mentioned in another thread, there’s new art for some of the equipment you can find at the Bazaar. Comparing the wiki pages for the Bazaar shops and the actual in-game shops, these are the changes I’ve found. I can’t be certain they’re all new changes, but I know most are. The wiki doesn’t have the big versions (e.g. Canebling.png) of the old images, so the comparisons are of the small versions (Caneblingsmall.png).

Edit: This update is even bigger than I thought, and it seems to be still in progress. I’ll add the rest when it’s done.
Some of the items have had the unused big versions updated, but not the visible small versions. For example, Hushed Spidersilk Slippers (slippersblackgreyback). I’ve included the big versions in that spoiler anyway.
The white gloves have only been changed slightly. I didn’t include them in the spoilered part for now.
Some bigger versions, such as bootsblack.png, don’t exist at all, only bootsblacksmall.png, so who knows if those items will be updated.
