Hurlers

Oh, and by the way: Does anyone remember how to repeatedly incraese Crystallised Knowledge?

Ok, spoilers aside, are there massive/specific spendings on the way?
I know about Deviless and Curios, about a shitload of honey and euphoria to construct a route, and have already built everything at the offices.
Anything else?

Well, there’s the 100E worth of candles that make me really glad I always keep 100E worth of anything common just in case a ridiculous expenditure is needed. I feel very vindicated.

It saves an action every time I travel from the encampment to the wasteland, so really it’ll pay for itself any time now.

Is there a way to go back and fill a mirrorcatch box with Gant if you missed it the first time? The text seemed to imply I could get back to that location later, but I must have misread that because I can’t find it.

The one when dealing with the Sleeping Merchant in Parabola, with the Manager and the Commissioner?

It’s a fakeout option. It doesn’t fill the mirrorcatch box with gant.

I thought I was done with the Bone Zone, but no, now I need to make a Menacing Skeleton for Mrs Plenty, and Skeleton with a Brass Skull for the Bohemian Sculptress.

Urgh!

Now I need to grind Master Thief for ~2 days. Nobody predicted this quality for Hurlers preparations.

I haven’t even gotten to the Hurlers yet, I’m still accruing stuff to build tracks!

At great expense, I’ve retrieved the Hideous Promissory Note! Does anyone know which places you can sell it for a better price than the original owner is willing to pay?

Pardon, do you mean the Balmoral preparations to rob the safe or is there some other crazy crazy grind I’ve overlooked?

Among other things you must have Master Thief 10 to open this safe. I, like many other players, only have 5. According to my calculations i need ~160 actions to raise it to 10. Not a crazy grind, just a little annoyance.

As i have heard, Breath of the Void and Impossible Theorem are required and consumed on later stages. This is more serious. Luckly I have them.

…oh, right I’d forgotten. Man, semi-related to that I hope all the Captivating Ballads, Tragedy Proceedings and Chimerical Archives I grinded out will be worth something at the final station.

Do we think that the Anchoress is The Anchoress? There’s still apparently more for me to discover in the Castle, but the text for her statue is making the connection.

Boy, I’ve had a blast going through Hurlers but now I’m sitting in London at Wounds 7, Nightmares 9-2 and desperately trying to draw the Shepherd of Souls card.

…there’s a way to FURTHER advance Discordance? You can get SEALS in the castle?! How?!?

There has got to be something wrong with going to the ruins. With a 60% chance I’ve had three successes and about a dozen failures. Five fails in a row just now and counting. This RNG, I swear…

Edit: Make that six failures in a row. What the hell is going on here?

Can anyone echo returning the promisory note to Lapidary (NOT Mr Stones)?

I was only able to advance my Steward of the Discordance twice, but I’m still stuck at 2/5. Is that bugged?

Huh. Might be, I have it at 3 and I haven’t discovered the secret Steward-nourishing goodness yet.

The RNG has been killing me for weeks now on 60-70% chances - same kind of experiences as yours, and none tilted the other direction. And honestly, the whole Hurlers experience has just made me dazed and confused.
