Sent you a calling card so we can swap missives!

It gobbles a 1560 item.
It reduces two of your main stats by 100 CP each.
And for just one - one - measly CP of Steward of Discordance.
You really don’t want this.

Let’s be real. If that was the only way to raise Steward of the Discordance, I would do it.

It was a pleasure corresponding with you.
I don’t know if the Nadir option has a cap. I know that it works at level 4 of the quality, but higher? I don’t know.
Does anyone know?
I seem to remember the option having an unlock requirement of Steward < 7. This isn’t the same as having a cap on the gain, but it’s suggestive.
I’m really stuck. I’m at 4 point something SotD, 7 crystaline knowledge, gained studies twice, and I’ve been wasting actions for three days now trying to find out how to proceed… and nothing. I seem to be missing the sunken quality only? Who knows. Well, the people smarter than me who figured this out know. I’d appreciate any help!
You should be able to speak to the Steward about the Number That’s Not In Your Head. She explains what to do now.
Go to the lake, and make sure your Nightmares are equal to your Number That’s Not In Your Head

Thanks, but I’ve already done this. And (spoiler tag doesn’t work for me so I’m editing this out). I’m stuck at something that needs the Sunken quality.

Oh, I see. In that case, just
do the same thing you did to get to the Upper Castle, but with at least 5 Nightmares. That will send you to the Lower Castle.

So… recount the stones to get a result of five, get nightmares up to five, and open my eyes again at the lake like last time? If that is it, I have no idea where a hint for that appeared. If that is not it, then I understood you completely wrong!
Correct, that should do it.
When you entered the Upper Castle for the first time, you opened a seal (the Nth Seal, where N was your Nightmares and your Number). This should suggest that you should try entering the castle with different levels of Nightmares, in order to open more seals. (so the existence of numbered seals [and the manner by which you opened your first one] should be a hint)

slaps forehead But of course! Thank you!
So, I’m at the point where the Deviless is about to try reading the stones. Is what I choose here at all important to the Discordance storyline? Is there a reason to have a -SotD item, or should I just stop her reading them?
Alright, I’ve run into a big ole roadblock with the whole steward thing.
Spoilers, obviously
How the crumpets do you get Number In My Head one? It’s the only one I haven’t gotten. I got two through eight by using the stones thing in the castle, but one’s a big mystery. Far as I can tell, you can only go as low as two using the miscounting thing, so what do I do? The goat game? The lady and her cat? Some other thing I haven’t yet unlocked? What?

One of your guesses is correct.
The lady and her cat? [
By the way, the Lady IS
the Julian of Norwich herself, isn’t she?
Can anyone send a Discordant Missive to me (Wojciech)? I can reciprocate in kind.

I’ve attempted to, but for some reason the game seems to think I’m not able to. Did you get some letters already? Also if it really is her, it puts this little revelation in an interesting light considering the stone you obtain from it seems not to result in any interaction with her that I know of.

No, but I was in the Parabola. Can I ask you to kindly try again?
UPDATE: Thank you, I have one now!

I would greatly appreciate a Discordant Missive as well. I can reciprocate in kind.
Update: I received a missive!

Alright, I confirmed that the Cave of the Nadir method works; in fact, there is a different variation of the option to account for advancement in the content of the Adulterine Castle.
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
