Hallowmas is here!

So far I gave 74 confessions and have an undiminished 50 request waiting in my inbox (apparently that is the maximum showed). Is there any way for me to see exactly how many more requests I have?

If your account is setup to send email notifications on incoming social actions, you can check you email inbox for a real total count of such requests (then subtract from it the amount you’ve sent already).

Edit: Whoops, Arahael’s question was already answered while I was writing my reply.

Speaking of which, I’m actually fairly glad I didn’t turn off email notifications, considering that otherwise I’d have no clue how many I have.

As I’m here, I might as well say that since I have about 110 requests to get through (I think), I hope people who’ve already accepted my requests will be understanding about the fact that it may take some time to reach theirs.

I do intend to accept every single request I’ve gotten, though, and went to the bother of purchasing some Fate to restore actions if I end up caught for time towards the end of the week. Which is possibly a somewhat silly use of Fate, but since the vast majority of requests I have were reciprocating ones I sent out in the first place, I figure it’s only fair, really.

Thank you both for replying. Unfortunately, I had email notification turned off.
I will continue sending confessions and hopefully I will have time to consign the ones sent to me to the Bazaar.

I kited my Nightmares up to the brink of insanity expecting to be asked to Confess Curiosity, and would you believe I got exactly ONE offer for that? (Non-POSI, so I don’t get the &quottoothsome&quot confession offers). So now my Nightmares are too high to use the Starveling Cat to scratch me! Moral of the story: it may be a bad idea to list &quotall&quot for your Confession availability.

I’m sure there are some people out there who would be very happy to help you out with nightmares; I’ll take a couple if you want.

Thank you, Lady Ciel. I hate to impose on anyone who hasn’t asked for it.

You can send me your nightmares as well, if they are still troubling you.

A short question: What is the most trust building way to keep confessions secret. I have to different options, one says it “confirms” trust, the other it “cements” trust. I believe that the latter is better if one wants to keep the confessions secret. Can any of the experienced denizens of fallen London confirm that?

Thanks in advance.

There is probably no difference. perhaps it implies the non-posi option is… less trusted, and more &quotwhat harm can they do?&quot

Yes, it seems the difference is that one option is for PoSI and the other is for non-PoSI. Thank you for your incredibly quick advice!

I can take some of those Nightmares if you need a hand with that, malthaussen. :-)

Things are looking good so far … Out of a total 119 confession requests received, I have now answered all but 40 (I have been accepting confessions off and on since day 3 of Hallowmas, though.) On the other hand, out of 121 requests I have sent myself, I am still waiting for 67 confessions.

And you would not want to see the amount of paperwork I have had to keep up with, to know all these facts for sure ;-)

Hey guys, question: Is The Errors of London option seasonal or there forever, or is it dependant on choices? I chose to not betray any of them, and I kinda like having the candle with a silver boarder there at the top.

This is the first year that we have seen this content but I expect that it is seasonal.

So if I have confessions amounting to an “uneven” amount of Spirit of Hallowmas - say (300 or 567). Are my only three options in respect to the excess Confessions 1) Betray, 2) Bury/consign and have the spirit wasted, or 3) Do nothing?

And are there any advantages of doing nothing? I realise it saves them for the next year (potentially; they might melt at the end of Hallowmas) but if you manage to get the highest reward this time round is it even valuable to do so again next year?

It preserves the option on one’s public, which returns significant making waves. otherwise, you’d need to completely ignore the interveiwer for the same MW reward, or downgrade to an inferior version. Personally, I’d bury the first year ones, since certifiable scrap is rare and you get trust 2’s that way, but betraying is also a viable option.

The highest reward is still 2 points notability and 625 echoes in goods next year, though the unique item value is gone, if you like collecting. Besides, it’ll be easier to reach 500 notability next year- you probably won’t even need to actually send any new ones, if you don’t betray this year.

(if you received one per one accepted, you’d have 100 confessions. if you’re loyal with 90- 540 spirit, right there. 90 actions for 625 echoes is ~6.94 epa, plus the epa of devouring confessions, though that’s only because you put a lot of effort in this time around. that’s assuming you consider notability useless, for calculation.)

Do we know this to be the case, now? I asked how One’s Public would work earlier in the festival and people were speculating that an entirely new quality is used to track Huffam every year (and presumably One’s Public triggers of each)

Don’t forget that just because last year’s highest reward was at 500 Spirit it doesn’t mean that this year’s will be the same. Actually anyone who managed to get to 500 last year will probably have enough Trust to get well beyond that this year.

You might be right. It doesn’t feel like it makes narrative sense that the notiority would stick for multiple years, though…

Even so, the excessive EPA would probably make it worthwhile next year, though not the one after that.
