I am done with this year, having gotten to 2500 Spirit and gotten all the Companions I aimed for with precisely 14 confessions.
Quite a nice haul this year, too.

Wow! If I may ask, how did you possibly get so much? I’m only at around 1700 still, yet you managed to accrue 7777? Teach me your ways, oh wise one.

If I had to make a guess, they’re running “Attend and speak of… terrible things” in the Shuttered Palace, which at peak efficiency gives circa 7.84 spirit/action. The only grinds more efficient require an active Seeking account - which @skinnyman can’t have, because they have the Knock - or a Wounds/Suspicion/Scandal year, which isn’t this one. You’ll need two Unaccountably Peckish, as much Scandal and Nightmare-increasing gear as possible, a Woesel, and the willingness to sacrifice deck access for the rest of Hallowmas and a short while after. I’m running the same thing, operating below peak efficiency, and I’ve taken multiple breaks to do other stuff, and I’m still at 5.2k spirit (as of now, with nearly a week to go before the event ends); it really does work.
EDIT: If you want to give it a try, I can send you my Starveling Cat to get you those initial two UP; I will need it back though.

I don’t see the attend and speak of… terrible things in the shuttered palace anywhere (do i need 2 UP for it to appear?), but i don’t think it would work for me anyways considering i don’t have a woesel and i’m not really for the idea of selling half my items or some of my much rarer ones so i can have enough money to buy one. So thank you for the offer, but i guess, for this year at least, i’ll just grind the hard way and hope i get enough (less then 1000 to go after all). Maybe i’ll try it next year.

Although i won’t be able to use it for spirit grinding this year, i will not say no to another critter to add to my collection, especially not one of the feline variety. If you could send one here I would very much appreciate it, and please tell me if there is anything i can give you in return and i’ll see if i can provide (it doesn’t feel right getting one for free).

As mentioned a starveling cat helps to get 3 UP to see the option. With the aforementioned equipment, you just need to make sure you don’t end up in a menace zone.
EDIT: But getting levels this high requires a lot of AP. “Thankfully” I’m too busy to do anything ingame.

Please help jog my memory: the masque reward you get at the end of Hallowmas depends on the masque that you have attended the most times? Or the type of menace that you had submitted the most? Or is it the type of mask you are wearing before the event ends?
Because if it depends on masque type attendance, you can theoretically just accumulate menaces then turn them in without stepping inside a masque during the entire duration of Hallowmas.

Can confirm that it’s the menace and not the masque. (Source: I use the Chrome plugin that lets me see hidden values. There’s a count for number of times you turn in a particular menace.)

No. I think there is, or at least was, a mobile browser for Android that could install extensions.

Wow, you guys are so far ahead.
I got just a little shy of 4k Spirit of Hallowmas, jumped from The Cloak, Not the Dagger to The Clandestine Watcher.
And I have finally done all four Hallowmas masques, received St Elmo’s affiliation this year.
Next year’s Hallowmas I must think of a way to more efficiently boost my Spirit of Hallowmas.
And remember: you can trade your confessions for companions during the one extra week after the end of Hallowmas. No need to do it in the first two weeks, this way you can save some actions.

As this was my first hallowmas, i’m happy with how it turned out, and it was a decent bit of fun.
Im glad i was able to get more than 2500 spirt and use all my confessions, and i am definitely excited that this is a yearly event.
I’m also glad this event lead me to this forum (i didn’t know there was one before), since everyone here is quite friendly and helpful.
Side note: I also was able to unlock the route to the cave of nadir during this time, so that means another weekly refreshed thing I have to keep in mind (since i have to let the irrigo fade).

You can’t do that anymore. Only cash in spirit and play TLC card and, not sure about it, take advantage of the menace zone cards if you end up there by accident.
