Bloody hell, played myself. Had a couple of menace-increasing items on a mask option and managed to land myself on nightmares 8 right at the masque, exited straight into the Mirror-marches. Guess I have to keep an eye on the numbers.

Well, the issue with a friend’s help to assist with one’s nightmares is still working even if you’ve passed the threshold of 8 level. So, you can use the alt’s help immediately and not refreshing the page at the same time.
Or you could click the bookmark icon on Change your Mask to set it as a plan, and refer to it from that tab.

Remember you can leave menace area quicker during Hallowmas; there are some extra cards.
I think you still get moved to the menace area, but entering it with a lower level sure helps!

Well, check it, especially with the specific Candle. You need quickly, without refreshes of the page(!), move to your mailbox part of the game and use your alt’s assist with Nightmares. And thus you can escape autodirect to the Marches! I use it when I gain with my Candle ~20+20 CP namely 8 level + 4 CP. And with the Assist you can wipe 6 CP!
Yeah? I didn’t see any aside from the usual. Got out pretty fast regardless, but still a bunch of dumped actions and obviously loss of menace level.

Faster and you get to keep up to 6 levels of menace.

Is there a way to track this?
Also where is the option to swap masks once you’ve bought one? I can’t find it again, all I see is the choice to switch for 10 spirits. Is it a card?

Have you checked your inventory? I haven’t bought a mask but i would assume if you have one bought it would be a hat in your possessions tab.
I can find the masks, they’re hats. I can’t find the option to “easily exchange masks” that’s supposed to appear when you’ve bought a permanent mask for 30 fate. I found it once and exchanged a mask and want to do that again but now the option’s gone.

. Most i can do is wish you luck in finding what you’re looking for, I don’t have much experience as this is my first hallowmas (and i don’t do many fate locked things). Perhaps someone else will be able to give you an answer though. Hope you get it figured out.

What it means is, now that you have a second mask you can switch between them in your inventory without paying spirit. The action you saw was to pick a new free/temporary mask. Switching that one works the same way it did before, you just have the permanent one in addition.
Yes, I am saying I did switch one, and my impression was I could do that multiple times. I switched to the crown and then the devil mask. But it seems that’s not the case? The devil mask seems stuck.
