People did the math on the wiki. As far as I can tell one needs to fail for +3 menace CP to beat the masque carousels (and there needs to be a menace increasing item for the head slot maybe?). So a Woesel in the Underclay is comparable to St Elmo and beats the Pavillon of Butterflies. For Scandal one needs to speak of terrible things, which requires dealing with unaccountably peckish afterwards.
I might have missed some things, I just skimmed the article.
I can’t remember if those are for the options that cost items or not. At the very least, the Woesel forgoes relying on cards or Favours to enter the locations.
It rather does disappoint me that the companion upgrades are only available certain years. If they ever do cycle. I wanted my Pirate Poet, Ascribed Anew.

Also, going to try to grind 2,000 Favour to get Tears of the Bazaar. Best way to grind Favour without Social Actions would be introducing your Grubby Kitten to your Starveling Cat, unless you’re literally unable to trade in Wounds this year, in which case Listen to the silence in Underclay would be best. … if you’re simply out for Spirit of Hallowmass, probably the Marigold options (scour the earth for example) are probably still decent if you have acces to them, as they give two menaces at the same time.

I understand that next year will be great for suspicion grind via Disco. I wanted to get sus affiliation, but I’ll delay it one more year. Here’s a menace grind for this year from Discord. It works great but there may be times when Nightmares will reach 6+6, for example. Get someone to inspect your sleep so you can play the saloon option until both menaces reach 7.

How to quickly earn echoes for the Midnight Matriarch if I’m early POSI? I really want to get it, but my treasury is empty
Probably a bit hard for you, my friend. I ignored the super expensive and unattainable companions when I was pre-POSI or early-POSI. All echoes come from selling your collected stuff, and sometimes you sell the stuff for scrips.

I just make a notepad text list of what’s available and what I already have, or have redeemed.
I wait till second week before I start getting the companions, by then I might already have the confessions I need, or know which masque to jump into to convert a confession. Last resort is to exchange with another player.
My issue is what to pick! All the crews sound great (especially the monkey), the rat can be replaced with July, but we’re talking about a FAT rat, etc, etc!

Where would one be able to see how much spirit has been accrued? I only seem to get the text on climbing the fools list once I’m unburdened but no particular number.
In Myself tab where you can search for “Spirit” to get the number.
Also, if you go to The Streets of London: Hallowmas and hover over the picture next to the go button on the change your mask option, it will show you how much you have. It’s a more complicated way than skinnyman told, but just incase you wanted to know the way i found. -Yours truly, Penea.
