I have spent 8 actions trying to land in the right Airs range to exchange Confessions. This is tedious.
Failbetter learned nothing from the complaints about the Fruits of the Zee Festival.
UPDATE: 16 actions now. This is awful.

Can confessions be traded for spirit, or is it best to spend them now? And where are people finding the new spouse options?
New Spouse options are in your Social Calendar at the bottom, and seem to only appear if unmarried, at least I don’t see them but the Wiki suggests they are there.
I need a Confession of Pride, am willing to give a Confession of Impropriety in exchange.
Did the first post used to say there was a limit for the practical benefits of Spirit of Hallowmas, over which was just for vanity? Or am I imagining things?
I couldn’t say, but more information is available in-game!

Crud, I can’t take the Seeking-option under Attracting a Visitor because I sold the candle at Whitsun, so I can’t use that to accumulate nightmares.
And here I thought I could conveniently sacrifice a noman for it once every year.

Can anyone actually confirm getting a Confession of Whimsy? I’m noticing a -bunch- of people in the trading thread asking for one but absolutely zero people offering one, and this makes me wonder if the drop rate of confessions isn’t equal.

Last year, as I recall, some of the confession types were only released in the second week of Hallowmas.
Which brings to mind a somewhat related question: Can I wait till next week to collect all 14 of the freely available confessions? That is, we can receive a total of 14 collected anytime during Hallowmas (rather than 7 only available in the first week and 7 only available in the second week)?
Some types of Confessions will not be available until the second week of the festival. The unreleased ones almost certainly include Whimsey and Violence.
So the Ursine Honey Connoisseur has Glasswork +2, which is new AFAIK. Do any of the other new companions raise the BIS levels for their respective bonuses?
Oh, and I just saw the Fingerking Moot has Mithridacy +2, so that’s another one.

Ah. I was wondering about that. So many people looking for violence and whimsy (myself among them) seemed more than a little weird, but if they aren’t out yet. . .

I don’t think we’ve had a +2 Mithridacy companion before the Fingerking Moot, but I could be wrong as I’m not familiar with all the Mr. Chimes companions. Edit: Turns out I’m wrong. There was a Mr. Chimes comp with +2.

Yep. And the Roseate Antagonist has +3 Dreaded (but gets no more Kataleptic Toxicology than the Countess), while the Buccaneering Paleontologist is +10 Dangerous.

I think you’re right. And the Urchins in Ealing Gardens apparently have many spare bears to lose, since they’ve just asked me to retrieve another, even though the last one I retrieved is helping me with Glasswork.
But can any of them hang out with you at Helicon House?
