Forum game: Ask the character!

Onomastics. (You can almost hear a smirk in Seeker of Names’ voice.)

Literature (says DragonRidingSorceress, looping a stray strand of hair behind her ear.)

What sport are you most inclined to play?

You wouldn’t expect it of a City-Dweller, but I’m fond of fishing and hunting. Mind you, most of my angling is done with some little friends from the Roof-tops, but the hunting is the real business: Plated Seals from the Unterzee!

Speaking of which, what’s your favorite game to stalk, whether on the Zee or streets?

I hunt Jacks. Nothing quite like it, AND it’s practically a public service. Just don’t take their stuff. It’s not safe. XD

What do you think is the greatest gift someone can bestow in the neath and why?

Love, dear heart. It provides one with a great many opportunities. A never-ending supply of stolen kisses, for instance, which are much harder to obtain from a friend.

What is your favourite vice, my darling?

Mm most favorite is being taken on excursions into debauchery with a significant other. In fact, I was about to answer the question the same as you, but refreshed the page and saw your response already!
I am still hoping to find the more ‘permanent’ relationship, however.

If you could create a new profession, what might it appear to be?

Debauchery! One of my favorite pastimes! So naturally, a profession I would chose would be the same as Sinning Jenny’s.

Question: Who is the most adorable person in the Neath?

Krawald: My beloved Tani, without a shred of a doubt. Our hearts beat as one, our eyes seek but each other, and our hands tirelessly work in preparation for that greatest of days that shall celebrate our union.
Loogan Cuthoat: Adorable? What kind of a question is that? Being adorable doesn’t bring anyone anywhere, and especially not in the neath.

Question: If you were to open a shop, what would it sell?

Funny you should ask that. I HAVE opened up a shop: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic9795-a-shop-of-dubious-legality.aspx As it says, it sells whatever you need. Especially items of a clandestine nature.

I ask the same question: if you could open a shop what would it sell?

Motions.[li]
Tremors in the web.
Pins in the map, in the right places for an image to form from their connections.
The spaces between things (which comprise the things themselves.)

A question: What is the greatest price you would be willing to pay, knowing you would receive nothing in return?

Love, affection, and devotion. One should not give these things as if they were coin to be exchanged for favors. Is it not the measure of a good man to give with no expectation of payback?

As to that though, I’m wondering… what is your largest outstanding debt, either in money, favors, or duties yet unpaid?

Someone gave me a Candle once, and all ways of repayment are blocked at this time.
But I will not forget. A reckoning will not be postponed indefinitely.

Who are your friends in the Neath?

Everything of dubious character. But especially the devils. And the LBs. And the anarchists. DOWN WITH THE MASTERS!

If you could permanenently kill off one NPC, who would you kill and how would you kill them?

Each of my personas have different reasons for wanting to get rid of certain individuals in London, but the one they all seem to agree on is the Struggling Artist/Artist’s Model (Orphelie wants to off them both). Nothing grates on their nerves (and mine) more than seeing their card pop up.

Ahem, continuing: On the topic of death or permanent death in London; is there anyone/anything, living creature, material possession, or ideal you would sacrifice your return to the Surface for (alternatively-should you not want to return at all-risk permanent death here in the Neath)? Sentimental and foolish, I know.

Dear Vollandahl,

Given the opportunity, destroying the cycle of the Master’s and their cities. Many do not realize, but one day another city will be chosen by the masters. It will tumble, quite literally on top of us. All will be crushed. And the vicious cycle will continue unabated.

To whom that finds this correspondence. If you had the opportunity to alter the fate of london’s rats to your choosing, what would you do?

Have them all swear fealty to the ruler of rats, Spacemarine9, who would then lead them on a ratty apocalypse of the world.

What is your favorite color?

Red, like the blood that runs from freshly carved flesh. But green is nice too, since it matches my eyes.

Where would you like to go on vacation?

Parabola, of course! Such wonders, such mysteries! My insatiable curiostiy demands I go there and find all there is to know about the place. The one taste I got in the Nadir made me hungry for more.
Now, my question. If you were to be an inhabitant of another Neathy nation other than London, which nation would it be?

Give me a week to finish my Safe Pass, then it’s off to the Iron Repubilic with me! Hell and Anarchists, all in one awesome package!

If you could set fire to any one master without any retribution, which one would it be (we all know their made of balsa wood after all).

Soran: Wha- None of them! That’s a horrid idea!

Zero: Err, I’m going to have to answer the same. Partly because, whatever their moral… Oddities, I can’t really muster much antipathy for the Masters; they’re just too adorable most of the time. The other, bigger, reason is that Soran here would probably kill me if I tried; they’re a bit protective of things that squeak, if you catch my meaning.

Cairn: Heh. Well, I’m not so fettered as my compatriots; I would immolate any one of those cloaked creatures, depending on which one’s demise would garner me the greatest reward. Of course at the moment, currying the favour of the Masters seems to be a bit more in my best interests, but who knows, that may change…

Zero: Alright, umm… It seems to Soran is off fuming somewhere and Cairn is busy… Plotting, I guess, so I’ll take care of the next question; what is your magnum opus; your greatest work? Or, if you’re not the creative type, what is your proudest achievement in general?

My Patriotic Adventure! (I wrote it for the money and the fame.) If you could give any one NPC a million echos, who would it be?
