In Encryption of a Sort, there are two choices, which are linked to the faction that you choose. A faction that you can’t change without getting Turncoat.

One choice, which involves you being loyal to the Masters and helping, gains you a Boxful of Intrigues, and some Shadowy CP. The other gives you the same… and 2 Correspondence Plaques. There is no comparable choice on the side where you remain loyal to the Masters, making the Boxful of Intrigue carousel unbalanced, if you want to roleplay and like the Masters. I suggest adding something comparable to any single one of the &quotA Guardian of the Realm&quot choices.

Similarly, in Survivor of the Affair of the Box, siding with either of the Masters has the same final reward, but siding with Mr Stones costs about 50 Echos (sales price) worth of Glim, while Mr. Fires is free. For fairness, either Mr Fires needs an entry fee, or Mr. Stones needs a larger payout to compensate (maybe a Magnificent Diamond) for the higher barrier of entry.
I’ve been sending typo reports to the regular support address (support@failbettergames.com).

Seems to work.
I can confirm that, as someone who mostly reports typos there. That said, I used the e-mail address only at the beginning. After a couple of requests I found out about the dedicated support website and registered an account there. It’s very convenient, especially for frequent users.

Note also that FBG are a little understaffed these days owing to holiday leaves, and response times may therefore be longer than usual.

Does the game and forum have an inherent spellchecker? I thought that was just my browser.

Ah yikes! That could well be true! A thousand appologies if that’s the case, and I clearly need to go find a better browser!

Edit: Sara is entirely correct! (Thank-you so much! That had been bugging me for months! [awful pedant that I am]) I have removed the original comment as it seemed to be entirely redundant. I still don’t like the RandomiZer category though ;)

Almost all browsers need some add-on for this. We can guide you if you let us know which browser(s) you use.

[/li][li]Thank you for the offer, but it was an easy fix once I knew the problem. Don’t switch the language around on your browser or post stupid early in the morning seem to be my lesson :)

Very interesting, thank you. I’ve known about that page for ages but I didn’t know you could just sign up there! Always thought it was only for Failbetter employees or something like that…

In the Nadir, on the Zzoup card, please lock the Recipe option if the player already has one, so people don’t misclick and lose blackmail material for nothing.

They are midway through the process of changing from the version that says how much you have of an item to the version that says how much will be spent.

Quite a few people have sent complaints regarding this to the feedback email address.

So, I don’t know if such a thing has been proposed before, but with the deaths of two great British performers in the last couple of days to cancer, maybe you fine folks at FBG would consider putting together another benefit sale like you did for those zee victims? But this time for cancer research? I’d certainly pay fate for that. And I think I’d hardly be alone. Anyways, I know you’re certainly not obligated, given it involves extra work for you, I merely wanted to pop in with an idea.

Shall all be Well?

We need more uses for the Rag Trade items. I can only think of one place to use them (Persuasive Making Your Name), and it is a one time thing… It seems very under-utilized, compared to the other categories.[li]

Please, please make the Dilmun Club a real club, not just a badge (or even Temple if you feel its been long enough since the Silver Tree Kick-starter?)

As much as I do love Wodehouse (and so the Stags), it would be nice to be able to choose something that wasn’t one of two ‘old boys’ clubs.’

Maybe make a new club?

A quick idea - base it (loosely) on the suffrage movement (with all the links to the Revolutionaries you might feel that entails?) - Perhaps campaigning for equal rights for all Neath dwellers? Rubbery-men, Clay-Men, even Devils etc. - It would be nice for us to be able to have a Club that is anti-establishment, but stands for more than just jolly japes and tom-foolery! :)

You could even split it out in terms of BDR? Respectable for Parthenaeum still of course, but the Dreaded and Bizarre assignment is more difficult I admit.

Anyway, just a little idea :)

Oh that would be awesome! Seconded!

I’d argue it wouldn’t be tied to Revolutionaries if it fights for rights for all - the Revolutionaries are generally &quotagainst the Masters&quot, not &quotfor others&quot.

I very much see your point :)

Thinking about it a little more; it would very likely be much better perhaps if any new club wasn’t linked directly to any one particular faction, but rather expressed an outlook linked to BDR. (So that then, no matter whether you liked Constables, Rubbery-men, or whatever best of all, you could still quite happily pick any club.)

So…

The Parthenaeum - The establishment, wealth and refinement. (Respectable)

The Stags - Inebriation, mayhem and fun. (Bizarre?)

Another club - So things linked to Dreaded? (So possibly quite a sinister group? Which is what made me think at first of the Dilmun Club)

I’m sure other people have lots of much better ideas :)

In some ways the Revolutionaries, I think, can be seen as one of the more altruistic of the factions. I can’t really see that anyone striving to bring about LoN is hoping for personal gain (power perhaps?) Rather their goal very much does appears to be, ‘liberation for all’.

Sadly they mean liberation from absolutely everything; whether anyone else actually wants that or not, and no matter what the cost will be.

Hello,
I am new to SunlessSea and Fallen London. I know Sunless can be linked/updated with stories from London however can a list of what story arc’s (payed or free) will have a direct/noticeable effect on Sunless be found somewhere?

I liked this idea so hard that I nearly broke my mouse. A new club is all I’ve ever wanted since I learned about the clubs, and one centered around activism for equality sounds amazing. Psyche is a terrible person but they’d love to help out a bit if you gave them the chance.

This is a thread solely for feedback so not many people will see it or respond to it here. If you’re looking for help finding something you should start a new thread. But for now, I believe that this is a good thread for what you’re looking for: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic21460-what-are-the-carryovers-from-fallen-london.aspx Welcome to the Neath! :D

Thank you.

Early on I tried to role-play this sort of campaigner, but the paucity of relevant story lines led me to abandon that and develop a much darker persona. Now, I don’t think the setting should introduce a faction that fits modern morality so well; the &quotwho are the good guys?&quot thread demonstrates how intentionally murky the subject is down here. But I would love a club with a higher purpose than sneering at the lower classes, and some twist on the suffrage movement could definitely form the basis of one.

There may be reasons why this is not already a thing, but I’d like if we could send other players a specific amount of Fate instead of batches of 100. A mechanic like selling things at the Bazaar but actually sending the fate to someone. It would be nice for when you want to help someone out a bit yet you can not afford to give them a full 100.
