Feast of the Rose 2024

I have gotten it 3 times but Lady in Lilac only once. The RNG loves screwing people with events

If the frequency is ‘twice as common as standard’ I expect it to be so, mathematical probability.

There is a problem if the standard cards are popping out far more frequently than the event cards.

Not really. It’s probability across every single player; some players will rarely if ever see the card, while others feel like it’s every other card they’re drawing.

Randomness can be very streaky, it’s hard to get a big enough sample size to know for sure whether something is odd. I just drew it twice in a row for example, which produces a much higher frequency than listed if you just look at my most recent card flips, but is well within the normal variance of randomness

I got it only once so far, but got the lady more times than I can count. Fortuna is a fickle goddess, I fear.

Sending a list of the companions I’m hoping to recruit, tattoos I’m getting and other such:

-the pirate-poet✓ (recruited her solely because she’s an absolute :crown:)

-the curious contrarian(is he the same annoying guy you find sometimes at paries from the “a polite invite invitation card?” Seems like it)

-the Debonair palaeontologist

-Verity

-ivy

-the Presbyterate diplomat(for salon purposes)

-the Diptych painter

I’m planning on recruiting all of those and will add a :heavy_check_mark: to them when I have done so.

I also got a tattoo of the bazaar, since I’m planning a giant back tattoo of it, London and the unterzee.

What about you’ll?

I’ve only gotten it once so far. As much as I love feast of the rose I hate how I have to battle with rng to get the most out of it-

Happens all the time, its just RNG messing with you. I’ve had Lilac show up a bunch but the Encounter card only once so far this year. Last year it was the opposite. Don’t worry too much about getting it so soon, we still have a week to go before all the cards stop and Lilac and the Encounter become storylets.

Yes. He can also be on your railway board!

Pirate Poet is nice, especially if you can upgrade her to get more Zeefaring. At least some of the new companions that get introduced at the Feast can be upgraded at Hallowmas for free the same year, but will cost FATE thereafter.

well yeah, that’s why i’m getting them this year for the next hallowmas. however, i dont really care about the mechanical benefits of a companion-i just think there neat.

So, when turning in gifts with Lilac, instruction text says that you will not be able to get another Census badge. Is that just left-over from before the Unsanctioned Relicker? Because I know that you can buy another badge from them, but only once. So, I was planning on buying Lettice, then buying a replacement badge, but if for some reason I can’t buy another badge then I won’t do it.

EDIT: I decided to do it for science, and yes, you can in fact buy one from the Relicker if you haven’t already.

Just remembered something for those still waiting for the Lilac card to show up. If you have Favourable Circumstance, you can force draw the card.

Too bad this doesn’t work for those still waiting on the Encounter card.

Edit: Other tips include changing your lodgings to one that is considered a remote address or, if you can afford it, a weasel of woe companion. Both will thin your deck of some standard cards to make the fest cards show up more often. Although the woesel will add some non discardable cards that raise menaces.

Has the seller of romantic dreams not returned, or am I looking in the wrong places?

Well, the advice is still valid for new players. You can only buy a replacement badge from the relicker if your original badge came from the retired mask of the rose access code.

Thanks for testing, I’m also going to buy Lettice in this way then.

If you’re talking about the Arranger of Nuptial Phantasies, they should still be in Veilgarden.
