Key Dates for the Festival

  • The Feast of the Exceptional Rose starts today, February 1st.
  • February 8th: ā€˜An Encounter at the Feastā€™ and ā€˜The Lady in Lilacā€™ become available. Trade gifts for Masquing, and obtain new companions. Tattoos will also be available in the Forgotten Quarter.
  • February 15th: Gift exchanging and obtaining Masquing closes. You will still have a week to exchange Masquing for companions and to experience Feast seasonal stories.
  • February 22nd: All remaining Feast storylets close.

Updates are (almost) always noon UTC time.

Itā€™s not at all uncommon for days to start at midnight, or for games to look at your systemā€™s local time to determine the date. Itā€™s an easy mistake to make if youā€™re new to Fallen London.

Itā€™s so odd to live in a timezone 9 hours ahead of the gameā€™s standard updates. Iā€™m out here growing my city and terrorising the citizens within while most Londoners are asleep.

Where is the best place to draw cards to try to get the turn in masquing card? Like where is the deck thinnest?

Most of the secondary locations, like your Forgotten Quarter Base-Camp, Moloch Street, or the Department of Menace Eradication donā€™t have any unique cards, so I would camp out in one of those.

If you still have the gifts, keep them and donā€™t exchange for Masquing. They can be saved for next year.

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m thinking Iā€™ll do, yeah. Iā€¦ am unhappy with my current spousal arrangement and not stoked to keep it for a year is all.

Not really anything to do about it though. Even if I spent an ungodly amount of FATE thereā€™s just too much to do for thus year to POSSIBLY go from the first blockage to Balmoral this year. Iā€™m mostly upset that I could have used that fate on things that would have helped me get there faster or new stories haha.

Same. Going to the tomb colonies for story reasons didnā€™t help, either.

Is it just me or the card that is required to exchange for companions is super elusive?

ā€œOccurs with Frequent Frequency (twice as common as Standard)ā€ā€¦ somehow I doubt it.
