Listening to the tales being told upon drawing a certain card in Tracklayer’s City reveals Feast-specific text.
Sinning Jenny’s Finnishing School usually has a bit of Feast-specific text.
Anybody wish to trade gifts? I’m new to Fallen London, this is my first time doing this :o) My in game name is spelled slightly different: Revered Rat
Did you really need to lock one of the new companions behind a quality you can only get from playing Firmament? I keep feeling like I’m being punished because I’d rather wait and play a complete storyline than each new chapter as soon as they are released.
Well, you meet her during Firmament, so your character doesn’t know who she is and has no reason to want her as a companion, so not being able to isn’t a punishment.
You can say the same thing about the The Sun-Kissed Polymath and The Whispering Duellist. They both comment that you’ve helped them before even if you missed the Coilheart Games.
Edit: Theres an extra “and” in the results for getting the Sun-Kissed Polymath, “they looked, and and unhappy”
There’s a nice added option on the Great Game faction opportunity card if you take the Polymath as a companion–it was a nice little surprise in my opportunity deck today!
Ah, damn it all. I got mixed up, and thought that the Rusty Badge adds 20 masquing instead of 10, and now I’ve permanently blown my one and only shot at the Rhetorican.
If it’s any consolation to you he’ll most likely be available next year, much like the other companions from previous Feasts.
No, you don’t understand. The Rhetorican takes 40, and the only way to get 40 is to turn in the Rusty Badge - which you can only do once - when you have 30, instead of 20 like I mistakenly thought.
Ah yes, but 10 Fate costs about three quid so technically nothing really is stopping you from raising Masquing to 30 by normal means and then buying a 10-Fate gift during next Feast.
If you’re ideologically averse to buying Fate and supporting Failbetter then yes, you’re permanently buggered.
And you may not be permanently barred from getting another one! Go to the Medusa’s Head in the Watchmaker’s Hill area and look at the table of the Unsanctioned Relicker.
It makes no sense to me that all the storylets that let us increase Burgeoning Romance are still there, but the storylet where we can turn it in to Mr Spices isn’t. Oh well, guess I’ll be showered in Romantic Notions come Thursday…
