Fate-Locked Content

10 through means available to everyone. 4 more points for those with Nemesis (I think you get up to 3 in one place and 1 later). Then there’s another 4 potential points if you make the right choices in the Face-Tailor storylet for linking to FB. Thus, someone with a linked Facebook account and the Nemesis ambition can get 18 points of Fate without having to wait for a holiday or messing with Nex offers. Assuming that my numbers aren’t wrong.

You could grind the Court Romances for Fate, but it takes an insane amount of time just to get it up anywhere.

doesn’t seem like her stats are actually being applied to my total either. guess I’ll have to remind myself what the e-mail to bugrep is

I’ve concluded my Diocesan Intrigue storyline, I chose to side with the Bishop. Did anybody choose the other options?

Nope. The Bishop’s was so wholeheartedly optimist and overall nice that I couldn’t stand to disappoint him :) (Seriously, a bishop that you can find beside you shoveling snow from Fallen Londoners’ houses? I’ll do all I can to try and avoid him getting killed).

Well, I just finished the Black Painting Content believing the Repentant Forger and stopping once he said there were no more layers.

If someone scraped away that last layer of the painting could you PM me what you saw, I’m simply curious now.

Could someone PM me as well?
I’ve concluded my Diocesan Intrigue storyline, I chose to side with the Bishop. Did anybody choose the other options?
Indeed. The Brass Embassy was quite… unsurprised when told, although they did gift me some beautiful brazen jewelry. It’s in my journal, a page back if you care to look, under “Neathymon 8b.”

Here’s as good a place to ask as any, it doesn’t really fit in with any of the other forums nor does it really deserve its own thread. Would anyone be interested in trading a Box of a Hundred Wonders (101 Fate) in return for a $25 USD gift code for J!NX? I received it a while back, but don’t really care for anything from there; not to mention the fact that shipping to my country would eat up most of it. I’ve poured over the Fallen London Terms and Conditions and I can’t see anything about this breaking any rules. Message me, if you’re interested?

I would prefer that people do not start swapping items for out-of-game things/value through these forums - although it may appear straightforward it does necessitate swapping personal information etc and the forums are really not the place for this kind of transaction.

I’ve recently acquired an Albino Rat, and I’d like to know if she’ll get me better loot than the Bandit Chief on the Near-Sighted Horologist card.

Nothing too specific, just seeing whether the 1 Fate would be worth it.

Story-wise, it is (it’s only one fate), but monetarily I’d rather taken the bandit chef. Not that I get the option too much, seeing as my Connected:Hell is preferably below 5 to avoid them gatting at my soul…

Some advice - what would you consider a better Fate investment, unlocking the continuation of the Velocipede Squad, or the Secrets Framed in Gold storyline? The Velocipede Squad yields a sweet Transport item, but I’m quite content with my Stallion (and I’ve already got Transports giving bonuses in all the secondary Qualities anyway), and the Secrets Framed in Gold puzzles me since I tried it without knowing it required Fate to be completed T.T

Secrets Framed In Gold is interesting, and has the potential for a once-off reward. The Squad offers, depending on your choices, one or two recurring cards and a number of storylets with worthwhile rewards, as well as story which ties into the Jack storyline. They’re both worth pursuing, but I’d follow up the Squad sooner.

Neither offer much in the way of material gain, and both are fairly interesting stories. I will offer one piece of advice though: Your acquaintances will tell you the truth.

I wish to be added to the pm list for alternatives for the secrets framed in gold

Does anyone have any comment on the fate locked content for Pygmalion in Mahogany Hall? As someone who really likes the rubbery men, I am tempted to try it but I don’t want to waste nex as I’m hoping to get deeper into the foreign office.
