Such an utterly glorious bit of writing. I wasnt expecting to be sitting reading this at 8am over breakfast and feeling sad for a fictionalised 19th century monarch.

Hi I’m pretty new to Fallen London in the scheme of things, does anyone have any clarifying advice on how to find clues? I want to help in the hunt but I don’t know where to start! >~<
The very first thing I’d say is, have you already looked at the list of hints provided by Gebrandt at the museum?
It’s under developments/methodology, then “Examine what has been uncovered.”
Oh no, the Limestone Companion disappeared and turned into a Stalking Stone Shadow of your Very Own, a Burden item which reduces stats.

Gah, FL is so sluggish today that for me it is approaching a state of unplayability. And that’s both at home and on the computer at work, so I don’t think it is anything on my end.
And yes, it is fine to play Fallen London at work, providing the boss doesn’t catch you.
Yeah, it’s indeed a bit laggy. Clearly the hunt is on for, well, everyone. Spare a thought for the poor servers.
Clue location hints:
Thus far, clues have been found and disseminated from the following places:
- By purchasing an ushabti of your very own.
- In a hard-to-reach place, invisible to most players.
- At a meeting with an intoxicating old friend.
- At an exclusive place in London.
- At the Duchess’ salon in the Shuttered Palace.
- Somewhere nostalgic, though not all players can find this.
- About as far away as you can get.
- Somewhere loud.
- At Mrs Plenty’s Carnival.
- In a bright place, in uneasy sleep.
- Initiate a hunt at the Department of Menace Eradication.
- In a desolate place.
- By doing your own research.
- (This hint will never appear.)
- (This hint will never appear. It is uncertain if anyone will find this clue at all. If you did – good job!)
It bears remarking that this list keeps getting longer and more detailed as more clues are found and investigated, so it’s worth checking at the source.
For the record, destroying it at the end of the hunt is a separate clue. Just in case anyone might miss that.

Well, you’re decidedly wrong there. Which shouldn’t come as a surprise, since the clue from the devs quite clearly told us otherwise. Just look around.
