Coming soon: a return to the Forgotten Quarter
Another person was even happier with it because it gave him an opportunity he missed last Christmas.
I’m happy that that person’s happy. Otherwise, he would have moped till the end of this year at the very least. Congratulations, happy guy!

I’m also contemplating the 50 Fate option. For 20-25 Fate, I’d definitely do it. 30? Maybe. 35? Gotta think some more. 40-50? Need a few months to ponder it.
If one way is coded but not released that certainly would make it a difficult source to find. :)
Indeed… sideways glance Turns out Alexis was just being tricksy. The fifth and final method has now been released and found by an intrepid explorer. casually eyes NiteBrite

It’s not an optimal method, though. It’s on the extreme end far away from &quotoptimal&quot. But if you’re at the attribute cap, it’s probably worth a few shots.

Well, last year’s Christmas wasn’t the same as the year before’s wasn’t the same as the year before that’s. Things there last year might not be there this year. I’m getting the 50 fate option - does anyone know if you can do it twice?

I think you can.

Tee hee. His eyes look like boobs.

I have finally delved into the Nadir and would like to share my thoughts on it.

It is… horrifying. I relate to my character very strongly, and feeling him waste away, diminish, fade made me feel extremely uncomfortable. And the eyes, oh, THEIR EYES… shudders Horrifying.

In a good way, of course. I will certainly be back, and probably more than once, and without doubt pay dearly for my audacity - but for the first time in years I am not merely scratching the surface of Fallen London. For quite a while I have been living the life of an inescapable, sagacious, midnight and sinister gentleman who may run into an occasional snuffer or deal with an unruly clayman on his way from one soiree to another - in other words, an average man in the street. But now I feel I have dug deeper, dug to the very core of the Bazaar and saw beyond its gaudy facade.

I do not fully understand what I saw, but I saw horrors, and they have no eyes. But the answers lie there somewhere, and I must return.

Well done. Well done, I say, and may Providence be merciful to us all.
Well, last year’s Christmas wasn’t the same as the year before’s wasn’t the same as the year before that’s. Things there last year might not be there this year.
Right, which is part of why I adore the seasonal events, and I’m sure to log in during the holidays at least a few times. If we’re just talking &quotthings&quot, though, I do rather like the items but there doesn’t seem to be much story involved (unless someone can tell me otherwise?). I usually spend double digit Fate on lengthy storylines instead of an unique item, faster progress, or a short story. I am typically okay with living vicariously through other people’s item acquisitions and admiring them on their mantels.

So, I see that we can now sell the location of the Nadir to one of London’s factions - which, as well as some rare or unique rewards, offers the game’s first opportunity to change favoured connections! I believe the only eligible factions are the Devils, the Urchins, the Game and the Revolutionaries. Is there, O FBG wizards, much likelihood of other factions getting wind of our discovery and joining the bidding? I’m modestly surprised we’re not getting any offers from Society explorers, or Special Constables, or those damnable Criminal archaeologists like Dr Orthos. I admit that my own allies, the Bohemians, aren’t the most likely candidates, but we can claim a few patrons - in the Palace or the Carnival - who have seen unusual things.

After all the trouble to gain access I wonder if selling it would permanently lock the Cave?

Any one brave enough to sell the location … I’m not.

I haven’t sold it myself, but it appears that doing so does not lock the cave… but, you can only sell it to one faction.

Thanks - I hope that more Factions offer to buy the route then. A choice I made early in the game, not knowing much about the consequences, does not fit the way my character has developed.

Is this from a card or what?

From the respective Connection cards - only visible if you have the Route to the Cave of the Nadir.

It is a new option on some of the Faction cards - I haven’t seen them all myself.

Any word on what the rewards are?

They all describe their rewards on the relevant cards - the Revolutionaries and the Game appear to offer the most valuable items, and the Revolutionaries’ is the only one that can’t be found elsewhere (I think all of the others are offered by the Relickers.)

Woohoo! Got my 5th skull wandering the forgotten quarter. Now I can spend some time relaxing while I continue trying to draw that horrid rare card for that horrid firebrand. I never really stopped trying, but now I don’t have to worry about getting interrupted by the need to heist or something. Plus, cinder thingy

And my 6th skull, so now I can get in if I ever get the card I need, but run the risk of skull cards.

I wouldn’t worry about Skull cards too much if I were you; you can always go to Zee or perform a Heist to eliminate them. If you get a &quotPolite Invitation&quot card that works too (but you do need at least one empty space to draw it, of course).

What the Revolutionaries offer for the Route is cause for delightful horrification, or at least that was my reaction.

(This has been nagging at me for a while, so I’ll just come out and say it: February looks like the Interpreter from the Silver Tree with her hair done up, her face coated with crimson cosmetics, and a frown turned upside down.

Glad I got that out of my system. Please resume normal conversation.)

Woah, she does. February appears to have a slightly more pronounced chin and a slightly longer nose, and the Interpreter appears to have visible eyelid creases while February does not - though those are certainly factors that can be affected by age, state of health, etc.
