I managed this week to get from Notability 13 to 15, I did not lose my Midnight Matriarch when the Duchess visited my salon, I got the goat card before I did a mistake and reduced my Watchful to less than 215, I got my Übergoat, which gave me london’s nerve, which gave me PP !

After much Notability grinding and a disasterous accidental trip to the State of some Confussion (choose carefully in the hall of mirrors) I’ve finally achieved London’s Blood - Living in Dreams. I think next up is London’s Sinew.
Yes! I have succeeded in writing a classic short story! Second try, 74% chance. Friends, those were some hot five seconds after I made The Click.

I was increasing Making Waves yesterday by spreading my Tales of Terror, when I misclicked and got a Sense of Déjà Vu. Six more clicks, and I now have a Coruscating Soul.
Also, a Rat of Glory gave me 7 Searing Enigmas yesterday.
I got my soul back for the eighth time, this time from a surprise package.

Incredible, mate, just wow…! And this is the 8th time in how many months?
Let’s see, I’ve been playing for 3-4 years and have 7 magnificent diamonds. I think I first sold it during Sacksmas one year for the night whisper and storm threnodies, so the count should be 8, or was it 9? There was one period last year and earlier this year where I got it back twice in quick succession. It’s all dumb luck. All hail the RNG!
After countless weeks, I’ve finally bred a Bifurcated Owl.
I’m sorely tempted to go back to the Tomb-Colonies to breed myself another stallion, but for now…I have my owl companion.
I recently got a Rat-Of-Glory from the Neathmas calendar. Got nervous about keeping it and losing all the candles and such, so I used it with a 30 percent chance of success, I won, without using a second chance, and was fortunate enough to not get an Agent, and got 7 Enigmas.
The RNG has blessed me of late. In addition to running into “A Sign?” quite frequently on expeditions I finally finished The Last Constable storyline. Didn’t tamper with the tankards and a The Cheery Man drank the poison in the first round. Then, in the same day, made my first attempt at getting A Dark Carapaced Crustacean by feeding a Malevolent Monkey a pail of so-called-snow and succeeded at that on the first try as well.
After getting kicked out of University, The Six Handed Merchant ended up raising their Scholar of the Correspondence to 10 by conducting enough back-to-back Correspondence Symphonies to rival the total productions of Beethoven’s 5th.
The screams were many, but in the end even the nightly pummelings from a half-mad audience were worth it, as tonight The Six Handed Merchant has finally become a Correspondent!

Congratulations to all. Now it is time for me to post my good fortune.
While in the midst of acquiring a ship, I spotted a beautiful Majestic Pleasure Yacht that was sadly not mine to take. However, I spotted my chance when I heard rumours that its owner, Mr Apples, was a gambling man. Of course, one would not bet a ship in a round of poker. No, it was Sparrow. The price to play was high, but the stakes would be even higher. It was take some time before I could stake my claim, however. After sponsoring enough dream expeditions and penning enough poetry to become the patron saint of Bohemians, and cleaning multiple gambling houses out so often to be shot on sight, I managed to earn a seat. After days of grueling play, I managed to earn myself a Majestic Pleasure Yacht just in time for the holidays. What a delightful early Christmas present it was.
I incautiously acquired Scandal to earn a free trip to the Tomb Colonies, because my Renown among the Tomb Colonists has reached 40, and I was seeking the present available at that level. I had forgotten that I needed another 7 Favours in order to obtain it! But I learned, to my surprise, that changes have been made at the Tomb Colonies that allow one to obtain Favours while sojourning there! I had one when I was forcibly deported, got one simply for arriving, and encountered several Opportunity cards that have allowed me to raise my Favour count to 6. I should be able to delay my stay until I obtain the 7 Favours I need. Huzzah!
EDIT: I have obtained my Newly-Born Frost Moth! Now to return to London!
After entirely too many disappointing pulls last year from Mr. Sacks’ pilfered, er…sack, this year I took a chance and managed to get my very own Fraught Research Assistant!
I have finally, after many delays and abandoning the venture for several months when I was almost finished, managed to get my hands on a vial of M_____s B___d!!
For my first Neathmas, I was just able to get the Dark-Carapaced Crustacean from the two pails of snow that I had saved up. I’m going out to Bulbone Island to grind for more Storm Threnodies so that I can get at least one more pail of snow, but I at least have something for my efforts as of now.
