Weekly Questions, Beginning 27/02/2017

As far as I noticed, that’s all there was.
Hmm. That Beau’s choice where you dump all your connections is actually pretty useful, because it gets rid of all the connected society.
There are other, much simpler ways to get rid of Connected: Society (which are actually profitable).
Are you referring to calling in favours at the Shuttered Palace, or are there more profitable ways to tank it?

Tomb CC. If you don’t feel like increasing your Renown anymore just keep 5+ favours all the time. When you reach 7 just cash a 1-2 in FQ for some shriek which, when converted, can provide a decent amount of plaques; think it was 5.4 favours for 50 plaques. Longer term, farm CoC and cash those.

Would somebody explain why some mantelpieces display 2 attributes, some have 3, or even 4?

Have you got a link to such a mantelpiece? I’ve never seen any with more than one.

Edit:
Oh, I see what you’re getting at. Sorry, misunderstood the question. Mantelpiece has two distinct uses here, and I was thinking of the other one. :)

I think it displays the top 2 attributes, but if there’s a tie it displays them both and then the second place attribute. (Though tie means they fall within a certain range of each other)

Well, if you’re going directly from Beau’s to winking isle like I did, it’s easier to tank the connections with the candle. Plus, this is seeking, so who cares about profit? You can’t have profit on winking isle.

Jeremy Avalon’s post here goes into a bit more detail; your profile shows the level descriptions for your top two attributes, but if an attribute is above 100 it shows both the 100–149 and 80–99 descriptions for that attribute, so it’s possible to have two, three, or four adjectives.

You can also have just the one adjective, of course — if an attribute is below 10, it doesn’t get an adjective, so it’s possible to be, e.g., ‘a dangerous gentleman’. I don’t know if it’s possible to have none at all; can you get out of New Newgate with all attributes below 10, I wonder?

When I had a talkative rat equiped after escaping New Newgate, my stats were all negative and I was just “a lady”, so yes, it is possible to have none at all.

Out of curiosity, when do people think the Kickstarter Blemmigans will be released?

They said after Skies goes into early access. So sometime this summer/autumn.

Sorry to bother you good people with yet another question, but how can I see how many CP of Connected: The Masters I have? I’ve been hoarding Proscribed Materials for far too long, and I’m debating whether to give my 10,000 to Mr. Pages or to sell it for Companions. If I’m just one CP away from leveling up, it might sway my decision to the former direction.[li]

There is someway. I think its something like “Set the quality to your mantle, then staying on the myself page, view source code. Find the quality.”

[li]
I tried that, but I couldn’t find anything (then again, I’m horrible with computer code). Does = $0 mean something relevant?

Any update on the plans on implementing Favours and Renown for the Constabulary?

 1. Can you sell one of your lodging key?
 2. I was investigating Jack and went to Politherme and was at Jack’s End and took the fate option Defeat Jack completely. Can I both go on the path of defeat Jack and Leave it intact at the same time? And what I lost if I didn’t choose Leave it intact. I know I lost the origin of Jack, but other than that what did I loose?

@ Tofan Bogdan
I can help with 1) – answer is no, not at the moment, though there have been rumours from time to time about changes to that.

Actually, the fate option to defeat jack should let you find out about jack’s origins too.

Ok as a reward is it worth to get to know jacks origins? I know as a story it is.

Nope.

Its like 100 extraordinary implications, so around 250 echoes.
