There’s a great deal going on in the Neath - ask quick questions about it here!
If I grind Collections of Curiosity for money, can I only turn in one per Bandages and Rust card? So if I amass a bunch of them, I have to flip a bunch of cards to actually make money?
Edit: Never mind, just got a card, and yes, I can only sell one at a time. And since each costs a favor, I guess that means I have to get 2x a bunch of cards to sell these things off now. Whee.

There are other ways to earn TC favours, but you will still need to draw “Bandages and Dust” at least once per Collection.
I’ve got MW 6 and Notability 5. I’m hoping to become a Correspondent, but I’m having terrible luck pulling the appropriate card. My TtH comes Wednesday; should I be concerned about grinding up MW to preserve said Notability? Or is 6 sufficient?
Also, is it normal to wait for A Kindness of Ravens for a week, pulling cards fairly regularly? Or does the RNG just hate me? Because I don’t recall waiting this long for any of my previous raven upgrades . . . .
Rng just hates you, and 5 making waves is enough to keep notability 5.
Why does the Judgemental Hat have a moon on it instead of a star? :P Being judgemental and all.
Unless you have the TC connected pet there isn’t another way in London proper. The only other favour sources are the tomb colonies.
Connected pet, Jenny’s school if you’ve bought that, Marks of Credit with the right Closest to, Dreams of Dead Men…
None of which I have, except dreams, which are pretty rare, so… I guess I’ll just sit on these collections for a while.
It’s a fine way to spend TC favours, and you can stay perpetually at 5 or more in order to turn in your Rubbery favors with the conflict card.
Oh, it’s a fine way, although I kind of want to be building up renown, so it’ll slow that down. Also, the time I just spent grinding quite a few collections won’t pay off for a long time, meaning I’m still no closer to my overgoat.
I’m really bad at this grinding business. I started back in November and I’m not even halfway. :p
Sounds like you’re really looking for a quick trip to the Tomb Colonies then! It’s just a lot more efficient to get them there.
Honestly, if you want a decent grind, just sell what contraptions you have, head to Mahogany Hall, spend five fate to Educate a Young Lady, use the Persuasion check storylet to grind Pygmalion to as high as it can go, and just spends weeks geinding the second to last Pygmalion check, ‘get her a maids position.’
If you never end the story, it’s a guaranteed E1.30 an action, a rate of EPA I don’t believe is easy to find elsewhere.
Perhaps at the beginning, but the affair of the box gives about 1.6.
True, if you have the shadowy for a straightforward challenge. Me, I’m a a persuasive type, so the Hall is more reliable.
How many Tears would one need to make almost certain that his Noman of next year stays alive? Thinking of stepping up to the challange the following year.

Hi everyone!
So, I’ve recently reached POSI status and drew the amanuensis card. Do I need to have an entry in slowcake’s exceptional to gain my first point of notability? And if I buy it through the amanuensis card (1 echo dicount, yes, I’m cheap like that) will it discard the card? (I’m asking because the “purchase an entry in slowcake’s exceptional” text say that the “conversation will continue”)

Well, congratulations are in order and don’t worry, probably everyone was that cheap when reaching the PoSI state. Yes, you will be forwarded back to the card and it’s best to try and gain your first point of Notability. Depending on how many cards you are able to draw per day and RNG it may be very useful to have increase it; this way you won’t need a card to get more Notability.
