It means nothing. Other than giving different types of second chances, the choices don’t even give different rewards.
I kind of wonder if they were planning on doing something with it, or if it’s just a way to check that you’ve managed to get a decent way along at least one storyline. In any case, it might be nice if they told people it doesn’t mean anything.

Ouch…Well, that’s some wasted Fate right there :( But thanks. I agree that a warning might’ve been a good idea.
Especially where fate is involved.
Hi again! I’ve recently opened Wilmot’s end, and it occured to me that there was some piece of lore about Millicent Clathermont there. I said “was” because if you completed her storyline during the FotER, you can’t access the wilmot’s end stuff. Can someone give the WE text about Millicent? Or, if that’s against the rules, send me a PM?
"A long pause. The sound of rain on copper. He says, “so, you say she’s alive? But someone has taken a great deal of trouble to suggest that she is dead. Interesting. She’s probably stayed on the surface. The masters will be displeased. She knew some rather…potent tattoos. And I agree we can’t tell Mr Clathermont just yet. Bad for business. Who knows, perhaps she’ll return before we need to tell him.”
Really enjoying this war of illusion, but on wiki I see that this card sets Seeking to 12. While others from this chain have their end I can’t find anything that will be unlocked with this card. Is the info outdated or that’s just it; cash that Seeking somewhere?
DrMoriviri a tip for finding full text of an option: visit the wiki page and if the text is cut (marked by […]) just copy a hunk that isn’t sliced. Pasted it between quotation marks and search that on Google. The text inside the quotation tells Google to search for that exact phrase and the results will be player echoes of that option. :)
I don’t think that your precise choice matters much. Honestly, I think that the Fate-locked option is mainly there for characters who have the stats for PoSI, but haven’t put in a huge amount of time grinding in one specific second-tier area. My main had put in a lot of time dueling and monster-hunting out of of Wolfstack Docks, so the "they fear me" option was the only one that was opened up. He’d put in a lot of time at the University too, but it took me a long time to realize that completing terms didn’t do anything, and only solving the murder mystery advances the plot. My alt has stats high enough for PoSI, but she’s a long way from completing any of the four storylines. So I have the option of either picking one and grinding it (except that I haven’t drawn a Cheesemonger card in weeks), or paying 10 Fate to bypass this requirement.

I save mood cards for when I use the Truthbreaker Turbine at the University … especially when an Impossible Theorem is involved. Mood cards may also be useful for feeding pails of lacre to wild boars, depending on one’s Dangerous.

Sorry to bother. My daughter quality is - You have been contacted by someone claiming to be your long-lost daughter. In Contact with a Long-Lost Daughter 14 - Your ‘Daughter’ has potential. Perhaps you could adopt her as your own. The story is not finished(I don’t have the reset). And I found the story continuation nowhere. Where to go , what card to wait(again)? Thanks.

Please, do stop posting in multiple threads at the same time and just be patient! We even have a thread regarding Fate locked questions. :)
Will do.
Was Zailing updated recently? I see a “Zailing Difficulty” quality that I don’t recognize, and my experienced zailor quality doesn’t seem to have its level listed by default.
The moon safely reflects the light from the sun. Similarly, the Judgment’s hat conveys what it experienced in the High Wilderness.
I think that was added about six months ago. Effects the difficulty of challenges.

I’m thinking of trying to actively seek out a Blemmigan Secretary, but I’m a little concerned about the echoes I could end up pouring into Surprise Package exchanges in search of one. About how many such packages might one reasonably expect to go through before locating the Secretary?
The chance is 1/1000.
Is Intriguer Compedium only useful for selling at bazaar? Or outside Seeking your name it is useful to other actions?
As far as I know, this item has no use today - not even in Seeking.
Of course, a new use might be added in the future…
The chance of getting a blemmigan from a specific box is indeed 1/1000 but depending on one’s definition of "reasonably" is not the same as saying that one might reasonably expect to go through 1000 boxes to get a blemmigan.
The chances of getting a blemmigan within 1000 boxes are (1-0.999^1000)=63%. This means more than 1 in 3 chances that you’ll go through 1000 boxes and won’t get a blemmigan.
By comparison, 2000 boxes gives you 86.5% chance of success and 3000 boxes gives you 95% of success. You’d need to go as high as 4700 boxes to have a certainty of more than 99%.
On the other hand if "reasonably" means as low as 50% then you’d need to open "only" 695 boxes (and then have 50% of failing).
When writing a short story, what is the easiest way to increase potential to over 85? (I would like to have at least 95) It may help to not that my Persuasive is 79 without modifiers and 114 with modifiers.
