Weekly Fallen London Questions, 27/07/2020

You can remove your specialization, I think from the &quotwrite letters&quot storylet, at the cost of a chunk of notability. You can then go to an Unfinished Business and get a new specialization. I don’t know how acquiring London’s viscerae works now though.
The POSI specializations (and Paramount Presence) are still in the game. It’s just overcapping via Notability which has been removed, and replaced with stories that increase the stat caps.

There’s a special vanity quality for achieving Paramount Presence before they changed overcapping. You can’t get that anymore. But Paramount Presence itself is still achievable.
Right, sorry, I was unclear, I was thinking of the old kind of PP where the first step is becoming London’s Marrow, Sinew etc. Or - can one still become London’s Marrow etc?

Thanks! I suppose this will be how the new PP will work.

Is it achievable from scratch (ie. if you didn’t previously fulfill the max overcapping requirements)? I’m under the impression there are still parts gated on [base stat] >= 215 and the story-based stat increases up to 215 haven’t all been implemented/released yet.

Speaking of stats… on the way to 200, in the normal course of playing, has Shadowy always lagged behind the other three? My main has them all all the way up (or at least over 200) but for my 2 alts Shadowy’s like 30 points behind.

I can only speak for myself and my characters, but Shadowy has always been the hardest stat to advance and remains the lowest even with the best equipment I can find.

Same here, across multiple characters.

When I had gotten the first three “London’s <viscera>” quality, my Dangerous was still around 160. I used Moods to get my renown to 40 with the factions that required Dangerous.

Even now, with all my base stats at 215, my max equipment bonuses are +88 Watchful, +57 Dangerous, +66 Shadowy, and +72 Persuasive.
