Weekly Fallen London Questions, 26/03/2018

Hulloa! Here’s this week’s thread for quick questions!

Hey… Is there something going wrong if the problem of delays in drawing opportunity has come back for the third time this year?

There might be some server problems, but I don’t think its an ominous sign or anything.

Currently at the part of Bag a Legend where I have to get 1000 primordial shrieks, 48 aeolian screams, 12 storm-threnodies, and 4 night-whispers (orphan is secure) what would be the best way to go about getting this stuff?

You can get 50 Primordial Shrieks/action in Ladybones Road, Unfinished Business. There’s actually a higher % for a rare success: an Aeolian Scream.

You may also convert Tomb Colony favors for Shrieks and up convert.

If you have excess scraps you can turn them in on the applicable relicker card for these items.

Those are just some options off the top of my head.

ah thank you!

For getting aeolian screams en masse, you can grind Journals of Infamy with Thefts of a Particular Character at the Flit, convert them into Correspondence Plaques, then use urchin favors to convert into screams.

Storm threnodies can occasionally be found at at expeditions, but what I did was unlock voyages of scientific discovery, then zail to Bulbone Island repeatedly to get Cryptopaleontological notes. Every 500 pages you gather can be converted into 4 Storm Threnodies at the Lodgings.

Night Whispers can also be found in expeditions, but can be reliably grinded for at the Court of the Wakeful Eye. If you served at least one term at Port Carnelian, you will get a card that allows you to get access to the Fifth Coil of the Labyrinth. Once there, you need 80 tribute for access to the Court of the Wakeful Eye and your first minister (for Night Whispers, make sure to get the Minister of Culture). Every additional 20 tribute you bring to the Court can then be converted into a Night Whisper.

It’s a very long grind, but you don’t need to rush since the Ambition has yet to be completed, so take your time.

I have a question. Two, in fact.

First, is there a thread for small ideas and bonuses that would be neat if added, but are otherwise meaningless? For example, having the card ‘Coffee with the Last Constable’ be unlocked with the Stiff-Backed Lady even after reaching Family and Law 4.

Second, is there any way to transfer one account’s info onto another? For example, can an account normally accessed through Facebook be made to be accessible through an email account?

Fidgeting Writer storyline is much, much faster way to Night-Whispers.

  1. I don’t think so
  2. yes, in the upper right hand corner there’s (name) account, and that has the option to link emails and such.

Not really. If you have enough cash for couple urchins, it’s 4.8 actions per Night-Whisper discounting zailing.

I purchased the Diocesian Intrigue plotline, and I was wondering - do I lock myself out of much in the way of content if I choose to try and convince the Bishop that his grand plan is a bad idea? That is, does the option to support him give you additional plotline, or does it end there no matter what?

The storyline ends there, but it is possible it may continue sometime in the future.*
*(doubtful, but possible)

Whereas choosing the &quotNo, this is a bad idea&quot option ends it no matter what?

Well, you’re asking me to tell you about content that doesn’t exist yet, so I can’t really answer, but I doubt you would be completely locked out.

You’d think there would be content both ways, but time will tell…

Thank you for your answers. Now, I have another question.

What can Searing Enigmas be used for?

There’s a few options scattered around, but the most important one is probably to make an impossible theorem. (Which is pretty much useless, but rare and valuable)

They’re also necessary if you choose to go Seeking Mr Eaten’s Name.

(Asking here rather than in the Murgatroyd Formula Exceptional Story discussion to avoid spoliers) Where did the apothecary go? Early on in the storyline, I talked with both daughters but wasn’t prepared to make a further decision, so hit &quotperhaps not&quot – and now I can’t find them again! Is there a particular location I should look, or is this a bug I should contact help about?
