EDIT: Also there was a devilbone die in the package. What’s the deal with those?

Devilbone dice don’t have any uses, but they have some connection with Hell, and sometimes crop up in stories related to devils or gambling and chance. My guess would be that it’s a little tongue-in-cheek message from the shepherd who returned your soul: &quotSee what happens when you gamble with devils?&quot

Is it possible to grind “Compilation of Case-Notes” without seasonal events?

Is there any word as of yet as to when Tier 4 Jobs will be added to the ring? You know, the Laocoonian, the Echoist, the Unbishop, the Strangler, those guys. I wanna know whether I should bother to get the extra Notability before specializing my PoSI.

Nothing in regards to them has come from FBG’s collective, real and metaphorical, mouths, as far as I’m aware.

Yes, but it’s something you can lock yourself out of. You can abandon the story cases at 15 progress to get one, and then restart it.

A sidebar snippet mentions Drudgewick:
Once a genteel London suburb, the island of Drudgewick retains much of its former character. Gravel is neatly raked and children are well-behaved. But why do the residents leave all those sharp stones on the village green?
Can this place be seen anywhere in the game itself? Is it part of a specific ambition or exceptional story?

As far as I know Drudgewick is not a place you can visit at this time.

Hum, care to give more details as I’m a stranger to the Lab. Those shinny rostygold really look nice, but that Blemi as well; congratulations!

Once you get to the Third Coil you can forgo progressing and do Deal with Mirror Smugglers (http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Deal_with_mirror-smugglers) over and over again to gain The Hunt is On. You then turn in The Hunt is On at level 7 with Kill a White Marsh Wolf (http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Kill_a_white_marsh_wolf). Repeat forever. Will net a nice ~1.76 EPA using social actions to clear the wounds, and is a few pence better if one has a cider.

And thanks for the congrats :)

Oh, I see, thanks! Well, I’ll just progress with my alt to the Lab, but I’m pretty sure I can’t reach that point w/o gaining A Name Scrawled in Blood 7. In the meantime I’ll just increase my Duelist quality whenever I need those Rostygold; it’s a bad EPA, but I do want to get that quality to 50! :D

Another question, do you people have issues when quoting someone’s message? I get a blank textarea; adding the message, no matter what I type, submits only the quoted message. I need to press preview so things may work properly.

If the goal is rostygold, you’ll want to cash in Hunt is On by hunting snuffers. After a bit of math I’m pretty sure attempting the hunt whenever possible (i.e. whenever THiO reaches 13) returns a hefty £1.93pa entirely in rostygold.

edit: I recommend advancing to the fourth coil eventually, because it’s one of the best endgame content areas. Ring-fights via unfinished business in Watchmaker’s Hill won’t be much worse than the labyrinth/hunting grind, and with some luck the ring-fights could in fact have better returns.

Greetings !
Does someone knows when the current exceptionnal story will end, and the next one start?

I had the impression the change occurs the last thirday of the month at noon, (so the 28 of September of this year for the current ones) but I didn’t find any official statement from FMB.

Yes, Exceptional Stories are changed on the last Thursday of the month - in this case the 28th.

Unfortunately, that grind was nerfed. You can’t deal with mirror-smugglers after THiO reaches 8 so no hunting snuffers that way.

You could use the intended Hunt boosters past 8, but I don’t think that would be super efficient, given than you’d only gain ~40% of the necessary CP from Mirror Smugglers.
