More Larks with the Young Stags in particular is lucrative as long as you have a supply of rostygold. Unfortunately there’s no great source, and there are lots of little rostygold sinks over time on cards.
I’ve got over 700,000 rostygold but that’s because I use the labyrinth hunt grind which unfortunately one can easily be locked out of.

University/Flit grind can also be a great source of Rostygold, with More than just Messages, which doesn’t increase Suspicion when unlucky. Harder to unknowingly get locked out of, but I suppose most people knowingly choose to complete that story and go on to greater things.
I am locked out of these grinds. Well, Unfinished Business in Watchmaker’s is only thing left.
If the RNG favors you, it could be the most effective source anyway!
…but it probably won’t.
Any advice on the finer mechanics of using the fate locked aunt card that refreshes actions? I usually wait till I have 1 action left to play it, and end up with 10 actions (if lucky). Is there any way of playing it to get more? I’ve found that it usually tops up to the nearest 10, which is annoying when I’m at 9 actions in my candle. Especially when the odds are so low.
It’s just a 30% chance to get exactly 10 more actions.
I thought it was additional 10 actions too, but twice it got topped up to the nearest 10. Have I gone mad?
Perhaps you have gone mad. Is everything around you red and gold?
It’s a net gain of 9 actions, which might be confusing you. 11 to 20.
It might also be that the action counter you saw in your browser before the action was inaccurate (not long ago it was notoriously really inaccurate).
Could’ve sworn I got a 19 to 20 transition once. Thanks for the tips! checks for red and gold
Do you know if the mood cards are still around? I haven’t seen one for ages, wondering if they’ve been retired or something…
Yep, they still happen. They’re super-rare though, so it’s not surprising that there’s lots of people who can go months without one due to RNG. I had one last week, but didn’t have anything good to use it on…
I got a Mood card just a few hours ago, so they’re definitely still around. Best of luck!
It caps out at your maximum actions, I think? So if you’re not an exceptional friend, you should wait until you have 11 or fewer actions to play it. (If you’re an EF, you can play it at 31 or below).
It gives you the 10 actions, and then subtracts the one you spent to drink. So the max is either 19 or 39.
Yes it does cap at your max, and just to be clear, I’m an EF. Been one since the start. Just saying, to show off, that kinda thing ;)

Hi! I just got my soul back. In a foggy Wolfstack night. It had a note with it saying: BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME. Also, on the note, there was a drawing of a shepherd’s crook.
Can you please tell me who the note was from? I’m assuming… the Church… because… the Shepherd? I dunno. It just seems too blehh an answer. Please tell me there’s something deeper here.
EDIT: Also there was a devilbone die in the package. What’s the deal with those?

There is an organization that is part of the Church, which is aligned against Spirifage and attempts to re-unite souls with their owners. They call themselves Shepherds. They are referenced in the Church’s mid-tier Favor->Renown conversion. You can have more direct dealings with them in the Soul Trade storyline (FATE).
The dice? Devils. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
The implication from that Bundle of Oddities result is that someone found your soul and anonymously returned it to you. It fits nicely when the bundle is a gift via One’s Public, but not so much when the bundle is something you stole or discovered yourself.
Church authorities do not openly condone the return of souls to their owners, but they certainly appreciate the efforts of so-called “shepherds of souls”. Find out more in the Soul Trade.
