Better late than never, it’s the weekly quick questions thread!
Any plans to revamp the Ambition: Nemesis story to have the lab involved?
I’m assuming not, since if there were, it would have been included already…
I prepared a nasty surprise for dinner without much intent and now I’d rather not serve it. Is there a way to remove it?
I don’t mind seeing the relevant text – Ragnar is not in a position where any downside hits will damage his standing too much. So please feel free. I always wanted to know what a HoJB is for!
A question of my own: is there a rare success on beginning an expedition? I just got six progress for three supplies…
Heard that ones, who finished Ambition, supposed to get some extra bonus monthly. Are there any Nemesis-ers, who got this already?
No way for that, at least not mechanically. You can however warn another player that this is poisoned in your invitation message and ask them to reject it. You waste all resources that went into that though.
Yes, its making waves, some second chances, a 62.5 echo item, and possibly a blackmail material
Is it just me, or did some card and other images change sometime today? The one for “A dusty bookshop” is suddenly different, As are some on the Hell faction card.
Yup. It was announced yesterday on Twitter: https://twitter.com/failbettergames/status/1240604797587374080. I’ve been clearing my cache and reloading by browser about once an hour since then.
Here’s the forum thread about it: https://community.failbettergames.com/topic27836-new-art-released-today.aspx
Thanks, I must not have scrolled down far enough to see the thread.
edit: The "merry sort of crime" card art is lovely… though not really that ‘merry’. C’est la vie.

From patch notes:
"Stat caps are now displayed next to some qualities. Why, you ask? No reason."
Any ideas?
Maybe some qualites and achievements will increase stat caps, for NG+?

Probably we’ll get some new ways to raise stats as part of the tenth anniversary deal.

The Myself-page shows the maximum number of seven next to each kind of favour. Probably so new players can know about it without wasting one.
I noticed also that on the Unfinished Business in [area] storylets, the different options now say "You will gain [souls / beeswax / rats on a string / etc. as appropriate] – I figured that, along with the numbers of favors you have, were new things in one of the patch updates that went from 4.0.6 to 4.0.11 sometime during last week (guessing, since the first post in that thread hasn’t been updated beyond 4.0.6)
I managed to "Re-establish your academic reputation" a few days ago. my access to the university is now pretty limited, like it was before I started my academic career. I’m guessing I need to work my way back into better standing, but don’t want to use all my actions on that if I’ve actually already reached the end of the university storyline. will I eventually be able to access cards related to "term passing" again?

Unfortunately, there isn’t anything more related to Term Passing.
I’m in a weird place, where my Stormy-Eyed isn’t high to get me into the Mind of a Long-Dead God, but my What the Thunder Said quality is so high it locks out all the cards except for the last auto-fire. Is there a way to raise Stormy-Eyed without dreams, or to lower WTTS in a controlled wy (so preferably not the State of Some Confusion)?
There is an option to significantly increase Stormy-Eyed on Mutton Island (it is a part of "Time Passing in the Southern Archipelago" and requires some Stormy-Eyed already, so you should be able to find it relatively easily). It’s the best way to get enough for the Mind of a Long-Dead God.
