I’m not sure if this is allowable, since fate locked, but what do I get if I sell my corresponding ocelot? There’s a picture on the card that looks like violant ink. Is it?
I’m not selling him, the belly rubs are delightful, but I might consider breeding another if that’s the case.
I understood from the guide on the wiki that on the path to Paramount Presence I would be required to obtain Notability 12 after having just acquired one of the London’s Innards qualities in order to get a different POSI level 2 quality. Right now I am an Extraordinary Mind, have Watchful base 212 and the card to speak to the Ambitious Barrister in Ladybones Road also asks me to have Notability 12 now. Did I misunderstand the wiki or is this a newer change?

I don’t think it’s permissible to openly discuss Fate-locked rewards, but I’ve PM’d you the result.
It’s just a few commonly available items, not Violant Ink (which is a profession item).

Time to get serious about the Khanate!
My current Khaganian front needs revising for better odds of success. I am in London now. If I make the Cover Identity that I want and then return to talk to the Reformer of Reputations, can I dismantle my current front and then immediately build a new one? I don’t need to return to London or anything, do I?
Correct. You can build a cover identity while retaining your front, and the next time you’re in the Khanate you can dismantle your front and immediately create a new one.

As it is, you need to spend 12 notability on the innards qualities (you need to have 12 to even approach the barrister), then you need to spend 12 notability to get rid of your POSI specialisation, then you need to acquire a new one for 5 notability, and repeat that until you have them all.
I think where you’re confused is on the stage of getting rid of your specialisation, that’s done in your lodgings

Thanks. I’m seeing an option in my lab that requires it, so I was wondering if there was an alternative source.
One good thing about the wiki fate policy is that I’m less tempted to go there and spoil the story for myself (a constant battle.) Is there an official forum policy? I’m sure there must be, but I seem to have missed it,
Anyway, no new ocelots for now. One is just fine. Belly rubs are the best! Next breeding project - a seal! Or maybe a rubbery hound, since I’ve bought Flute St but not yet collected the stuff to go there.
If you have a devilish infant curator, is it still possible to send it through the Avid Horizon? Or is that only if you used Spices’ plans?

Thank you ! Now I get it. It’s a bit more difficult than I first thought but I get it.
If you have a devilish infant curator, is it still possible to send it through the Avid Horizon?
Nope! Both parents seem to be available regardless, but those of us with a Devillish child get to send it to a different third place:
Hell.
Mood cards in my hand have got a purple border. That’s new, right? Good idea, seeing as they have the same picture as some cards that you almost reflexively bin without thinking about it.
Yeah… why the colour change?
Can we have an updated list of all the different border colours and what they mean?
I was surprised at the game update notification, I thought it’s another event.
Pretty clearly it is so you notice them and don’t discard them without realising what they are. Those pictures are used on some much less useful cards that you might bin without a second thought.
One can easily get into the habit of running through your new cards in each session and quickly clicking on ‘discard’ as you as you see each picture, and then cursing and regretting it afterwards when your mind registers what the mouse-over text was saying. This ought to help prevent that from happening. A nice little QoL touch, I think.
Failbetter should absolutely switch things around a bit and give black-bordered cards the new purple colour on April 1st.
The one on the Direct Your Own Research card? That one is only available if your profession is Correspondent. (My main character is, but I am apparently completely unable to remember to use that option at the beginning of an experiment.)
I misclicked and accidentally sold my Slavering Dream Hound (arghhhh!!) and now trying to get it back, I don’t see the option to feed Empyrean Redolence to a Plated Seal under Pulling Out the Stops. I don’t want to waste too many actions…does anyone recall if it’s the next step after Breed the Plated Seal? The wiki seems to indicate they should all be on the same page under Pulling Out the Stops…??
No, there shouldn’t be a separate step, last I recall the wiki was right… if you breed the plated seal with pulling out all the stops you get the hound of heaven.
Do you see the other beast-breeding options, like feeding a tomb-lion empyrean redolence? Can you check if you somehow still have the dream-hound?
I don’t think there’s a way to lose the Redolence so that can’t be it…

Is there any way to gain connections: Summerset while unwelcome at the university?
I am preparing for my Zee voyage, but getting kicked out has broken the 50 item trade carousel.
