I hope the Oyster Rabbit left you lots of delicious Oyster treats this year! Anyhow, here’s questions.
Why would a rabbit need aphrodisiacs?
I think it’s more a case of "Why are rabbits the way they are?"
I’m super confused?
I was working on “Observe the Red-Handed Queen behind the mirrors of Varchas”, and finally got the three Game favours I need, and I went to the Dome - excited to finally boost my cap - but … I can’t see it at all?
There’s a new option that requires 7 Fingerking favours? Did this replace the old one in some sort of patch? If so, why does my Plans still show the old option?

You must have completed a Parabolan campaign on behalf of the Fingerkings since the last time you visited.
Completing a campaign changes who’s in power in Parabola, via the "Parabolan Dominance" quality. This changes content in a few places, but the Domes of Scales has the biggest and most visible impact. All three factions have options to raise your Shadowy Gains, the difference being the initial material cost. Some other options also become available, sometimes depending on which story options you picked, which will go away as soon as you start another campaign.
You can bring back the Great Game favours option by campaigning on behalf of the Chessboard (and not ending in a stalemate). The Cats also have their own content.
Anyone know who that person that did really thorough reviews of exceptional stories and them ranked them is?
Do you mean the person who included them in their signature? Or are you referring to phryne (who doesn’t rate them, as far as I know, but lists them and the writers)? Their page is here:

The person I’m thinking of used to put a big list of every exceptional story they had played sorted into excellent, great, good, meh, and bad in every post for that month’s exceptional story on the forum. They would hide it behind spoiler tags so it didn’t take up the whole page. I could probably go digging through the old forum posts, but I’m not exactly sure how to find those. Phryne’s post is helpful though, thank you!

The wiki has the forum posts for every exceptional story release ever. Every announcement is linked on the corresponding ES page.

Thank you! Found him, it was dov. He seems to have taken a hiatus, but I remember I used to find his rankings and reviews terribly helpful.

Dov is still around, they’re one of the wiki admins. Not sure if dov is still active here though.
Not so quick question.
I never delved deeply in Parabola lore and Cats vs Snakes. Just the basics.
Now, after avidly reading as much text I can during a few campaign in Parabola I am a bit disoriented. What is all the thing about properly cats (that could be every feline in Parabola) and tigers (which are always tigers)? I wrongly always assumed they were the same faction, but it seems that while having the same enemies (Fingerkings), there is a bit of bad blood between them.
Could anyone point me to some pretty exhaustive material about all the situation?
Can someone tell me what happens to your lab when you get kicked out of the University? When you get un-banned, is it all just like you left it, or do you have to rehire anyone or replace any equipment? My entire Voluminous Library is there, etc.
Nothing. It’s entirely unaffected, and you retain access at all times.

It feels quite cool when you’re unwelcome to just hang out in your own lab =)
I guess, it makes mechanically sense, though.
Imagine if you were prevented from entering, but still could enter through Parabola…
That is a bit peculiar, story-wise. But I suppose from a gameplay point of view, it is a good thing. This game can be frustrating enough a it is, sometimes. Though if labs had been around when I was kicked out of the university, I wouldn’t have minded being denied access to mine.
There are a few other things that remain open at the university, though – working towards Courier’s Footprint, for example.

Seconded!
Any good ideas how do grind up shadowy at 212? My railway actually ends in Station VII.
The new options at the Dome of Scales are pretty competitive for increasing Shadowy. The exact options vary depending who is dominant in Parabola, but they’re all several hundred CP.
