Per a certain ratly Failbetterer, Teaching Urchins the Correspondence should now grant favours.
So upconverting Wild Word items now costs Urchin favors. It pretty much mirrors how Elder items require Tomb-Colony favors: T3->T4 (plaque->scream) and T4->T5 (scream->threnody) each require 1 favor per action. No renown requirement. (Call-out to reddit for bringing to my attention.)
I would anticipate Infernal items requiring this in the foreseeable future, and Luminosity items in the eventual future.
Tis a shame I traveled to the mind of a Long dead God only a few months ago… I will have to camp out on a certainly island for weeks to reach it again.
Might as well go get docks renown while we’re at it, yay!

Next year, I highly recommend taking advantage of the Zee festival’s ferry (5AP to/from London) for these two Favours.
Anyone sell them the location of the cave of the nadir, yet?
The compromise solution on the Hell/Urchins conflict card requires Subtle 8 - any advice on how to get there?
Keeping it Bloodless on the Wilmot’s End carousel then turning in the dramatic tension for Collections of curiosities is quite profitable if you’re not in a terrible hurry to bump up your subtle.
I think this hasn’t been mentioned yet: The Grubby Urchin card now also gives a Favour at the cost of two Tales of Terror!!
By my count we are now up to 7 cards that are always available, 2 that are temporarily available and 1 (or 2?) non-card sources that are fate-locked (details).

Are you sure you didn’t pick the incorrect option? It didn’t cost me anything when I got it earlier today.
Arson and avarice on the implausible penance card unlocks with 3 criminals favours, not 1.
Maybe the option has been adjusted? It definitly cost me 2 ToT, same as the Favour on the Winsome Urchin card costs 2 Memories of Distant Shores.
That is precisely what I wrote.
Well, the scheme option is great now as I can work without much effort on my achievement to get it to a wild level! Thank you for the great thread and work, Parelle!
Bit curious, but does anyone, except me and rahv, have the level 40 Renown item? :D
Which are consequences if you deny Thunderbolt?

Ah, I was looking at the OP and must’ve missed your post. OP needs to be updated.

I was referring to needing a single criminal favour to even draw implausible penance, but I’ve updated that for needing 3 to choose. I’ll catch the Grubby Urchin update when I’m better able to format it.
From the description I am pretty sure you can still get it later. I still didn’t want to risk it because if it had taken only one of my Favours, I would’ve needed to go home again and rebuild Stormy-Eyed to try again. It’ll be interesting when the first one is brave enough to actually try :)
Hi Parelle,
the Quirk changes for Renown 15+ have been updated in the wiki. It raises Daring and decreases Melancholy.
(You also have a typo in your post: "Filt" instead of "Flit".)

I’m currently grinding Stormy-Eyed on Mutton Island. If no one beats me to it, I’ll bite the bullet and try refusing the gift when I hit the Mind.
