So, if I’m reading the candidates’ platforms aright:
[ul][li]Virginia plans to use the office of Mayor to conduct experiments on her constituents’ souls, making them better suited for whatever purpose she has in mind for them.[/li][li]Mrs Plenty’s position is roughly the opposite of that of the Contrarian in his first run - she wants to reduce the average Londoner’s involvement in public affairs, as well as adopting an isolationist stance.[/li][li]Shoshana, in whatever researches she uses to generate her prophecies, has happened across the Masters’ plans for London, and is trying to piece together a way to save the city from what information she has available to her.
[/li][/ul]
As this is my first Election, I’m thinking of picking up some Fate-locked items from the past Election. Is there a list of them with all their stats? Thanks!
UPDATE – Never mind, I found it! edited by Vega on 7/23/2019
Today’s poll really advantaged Virginia. Who would win in a duel? Obviously the unhuman, supernatural monster who is difficult to kill and has combat experience!!
I’m slightly annoyed that the Deviless doesn’t have the +Persuasive when to do ANYTHING with the stupid brass skull you need persuasive. I’m to the point where you need it off the charts & this hellion is offering me watchful & respectable? What the Hell, Virginia? I should have tried to drown you in sand when we were running through the Forgotten Quarter trying to get those stupid stones.
*grumbles about having to either pick a different candidate or stay with the original choice of Virginia & take her horrible item…mightjustpicksomeoneelse… not like The Embassy even LIKES Virginia anymore. *
Hell as a faction is historically tied to Watchful; getting favour, spending favours for stat boost, renown rewards… and now Virginia’s gloves. The Skull is the exception rather than rule.
Church has something similar going on, to use another faction as an example of the oddity. Spending their favours boosts Persuasive and their renown rewards (except for the one from Southwark) are Persuasive items as well, meanwhile raising renown with the Tiny Jewelled Reliquary requires Watchful instead.
For Virginia, she’s also an archaeologist, and Watchful is the primary stat for expeditions. For those exploring the Tomb of the Silken Thread day after day, those talons won in the Season of Revolutions are one of the best things to be wearing.
(Don’t forget that you can change candidates for 10 Reputation and then change back for another 10; so you can both have your cake and eat it too)
Someone doesn’t know how to haggle.
An initial offer so low that it generates no interest at all means there’s no point in haggling since the negotiation is a non-starter.
If you do that, though, and you’d chosen a candidate-specific item from Mr Mirrors, do you lose that item?
Of course, if you do, presumably (hopefully) you can pick up the candidate-specific item for your new candidate, though maybe only that? (i.e. not get multiple job-specific ones)
ETA: Actually the option does say "You will not receive a new Election Item". I went ahead and changed candidates, and still kept the original chosen gift (Genuine Rubbery Lumps; I switched from Mrs Plenty to Shoshana).
I will say that there’s no ‘Perhaps Not’ option on that page though, which seems like a problem. edited by Tintinnabulum on 7/23/2019 edited by Tintinnabulum on 7/23/2019
Man this was a good election, got from notability 0 to 5 with just reputation so far.
Amazing really, does anyone know for how much longer the election will last?
Nevertheless, it IS the only offer on the market. Scrapbook proves I’m Fixer 20 and I’ve got ten reputation to switch over to the Deviless herself, should fifty coins show up my way…

The link you’ve attached to the bottom of your posts isn’t working for me…
