The plants do seem to have been a clever diversion.
Game servers seem to be overwhelmed with demand.
Is it these “instances”?
Oh, I wonder, is there an alternate reality for people who just blithely ignore the launch party, and keep on making plants?

Game servers appear to be really struggling right now. I just woke up, excited to be able to see the opening ceremony (which started nearly four hours ago, but that’s early in the morning for me), and the game itself isn’t loading. Seems demand really is that high right now. The wiki, on the other hand, seems to be loading fine.
I expect we’ll still return to that in some form or other, can’t let that prestige we built up go to waste.

This reminds me of that other event involving F.F. Gebrandt and the renegade Ushabti. Some ‘mishap’ or ‘diversion’ incident in the middle, resolve that and then get back to the main story.

I wonder if we are choosing saviors of the city, or we have to catch em all.
So regarding the barriers to getting on your ship or boarding a train, is there any event-related reason to want to put to zee or head upriver? Can we request aid at any other port of call or from someone in the hinterlands? Anyone looked into this?
Also, it seems like a long shot, but has anyone checked Flute Street? That could be a rather interesting interaction.

We all know from who is this message already and from where:
We’re working to resolve persistent game stability and performance issues. We expect the game will need some downtime tomorrow, early in the day UK time; we’ll update this message as we know more.
Mechanically it looks like right now no-one is willing or able to help, but as we collectively progress the event, specifically by means of more and more of us knocking on the doors of the various key players, then down the line any or all of them could end up taking action.
No, I mean they’re definitely not going to help. Go to the Bazaar Side-Streets and see what I mean, next time the log-in servers let you.
I did, but it just said something along the lines of them being too busy dealing with something more important right now. It didn’t really seem a lot more final than some of the other options? I guess they could, at some further point, become less preoccupied?

And now the Court’s locked as well. “She is not coming”. So we’re down to Jenny, the Admiralty and Hell…
But! Jenny and the Admiralty now have different text! My suspicion is that Hell needs a little more before it closes off, since they aren’t very friendly, but hopefully the new result text for the other two is a good sign.

Jenny got different text when the Bazaar closed, and the Admiralty got different text when the Palace closed. Hell is as-yet unchanged by any events.
