There’s an unintuitive background quality called something like Progressing Towards A Fungal Dream that ticks up by 1 every time you sell a concoction, up to a maximum of 7. And if you arrive at Mangrove with 7 Progressing, it resets and gives you 1 x Fungal Dream to be redeemed at " Exploring the Mangrove College". The unintuitive part is that you’ll have to make 7 concoctions, then leave Mangrove, then come back; you can only cash out the next time you’re there. Usually you’ll get some Wild Words goodies, but this time you can instead pick the Clue.

Thanks for explaining. I wouldn’t call it ‘unintuitive’ though. ‘Evil’ comes to mind ;)

Could someone link profile echoes for the Clues linked to Mushroom’s Dream and Upwards? Missed out on those two. The Mushroom one was just too evil and I never bought Upwards on any account.

I wouldn’t call it ‘unintuitive’ though

For me the most unintuitive part is that it’s an invisible tracker, so if you don’t check those you just spontaneously, sometimes, get a Mushroom Dream when you dock at Mangrove (I usually stop by on my way from the Tigers to the Khanate and make a few concoctions, but not usually 7+, so it ends up being “every 2-3 visits” which was very confusing).

It’s doubtful that anyone will be able to answer this question until after the event is over.

No cause for regret there that I can see. The biscuits have a scrip value already. As yet a scrip trade for Service is not confirmed, and even if it was the gain for handing in biscuits is quite modest, hardly worth doing at all. The good options would be the ones using echo-only goods.

I also ran into this problem. It doesn’t help that the payout changes sometimes so for so long I was like ‘Is it tied to my time the healer? Is it monthly? Is it random?’ If nothing else at least this event has finally explained how the mushrooms work.

I will get about 75k Service to London before continuing with the storyline… even this should already be an overkill.

no rush. continuing the story only locks out fighting london’s war, not tending london’s wounds, and tending offers a lot more service to london than fighting starved men

I’ll admit I’m just alternating between the Underclay and using the Strong-Backed Labour to raise my Service.

Is it really worth it to spend a few extra actions to go in and out of Underclay?

And it’s not like I can 100% the Mithridacy check anyway…

You can at the very least go to Marigold to ask for help, but you need an Infernal Favour to proceed. Presumably, the other locations/factions will proceed along a similar line, but I haven’t gone on a proper tour to check yet.

The dockers can be petitioned at wolfstack, I’m curently checking the court of the wakeful eye, and Polythereme and the Khanate are also available
