Salutations, everyone!
Er, well, good evening I guess? I’m not too fond of fancy introductions, but I can talk a lot.
The name’s Alavar Randomity. Why no, that’s not my real name. In fact, it’s an alias! The last name should have given it away.
And yes, I certainly am named after the Asian fish sauce, alavar. Long story. Don’t ask.
There’s a lot to say about myself; I swore I wasn’t going to be lengthy in my introduction. That’s how I give off too much info.
I’m a jack-of-all-trades, and a master-of-none. But you know what they say, we’re better than a master-of-one!
I’m also a walking contradiction, so there will be times where I believe one thing and say another. And then vice versa.
It’s a matter of whatever’s going on with the situation, I guess? Honestly, I wish I knew how to explain that one. It’s a long story, and it started out with my mentor teaching me how to be a more logical person, considering I tend to get really emotional.
The end product turned out to be a very rational person. That’s me!
Anyways, I think I rambled off a bit too much. I’m always open to meeting new faces, but I tend to get picky as well. Let’s say it’s a gut feeling of mine.
Gah, rambling again. I’ll let you all have at it, then.
Hope to see you all around!
Hi! I’m Silvia, from the weird boot-shaped peninsula. :p
I am, have always been, and forever will be, a geek - I love reading, gaming, baking, knitting and everythng that is creative and fun!
I can’t wait to swap secrets and speculations with you all…
On the internet, I usually simply go by Mein. Well, and a neigh endless list of alternate names that people assign to me. Their motivations remain unclear. If you want to call me by my actual human name, I also go by Jakob.
I’ve been an enthusiastic fan of Sunless Sea for a long time now, and having signed up for Fallen London a few months back, and none of my close friends knowing or playing the game, I decided I finally needed to go to a place to discuss this wonderful world with like-minded folk. So here I am. I do so hope we’ll get along fine.
As for my interests, there is little to say, as I am quite boring. I like writing, though only if it has at least a dash of comedy in it, I enjoy video games, particularly narrative-driven ones, I love delving into the hidden lore of well-crafted universes, and I tend to champion for underappreciated species of animals. Did you know that hornets kill wasps, don’t go after your sugary food, and almost never get up in your face unless provoked? Hornets are dope.
Well, in any case, that’s all there really is to know. I do hope we’ll see more of each other soon. edited by MeingroessterFan on 2/22/2018
Good evening, delicious friends. I (fairly) recently discovered Fallen London through a post in Eblong about a secrets game. Since then, I have spent most of my time becoming a person of some importance to get a ship. edited by masema on 2/22/2018
Greetings and good evening, You may call me Lufa. I am a sort of polymath who has been around Fallen London a few years. I am always looking for, shall we say, alternative employment. Even more so, I am looking to enliven my social life, as recent years have made me somewhat of a shut in. Please feel free to write me if you have interests, professional or otherwise. edited by Lufa on 3/1/2018 edited by Lufa on 3/5/2018
Good evening edible friends (and to be fair, all friends are edible at least once),
I am recently returned to Fallen London after a long absence. In my past, I had been a silent creature who sought no company and contented myself with the quiet mystery of the city. But now, with a new face and name, and the chance to explore paths previously untrodden, I hope to have the pleasure of making your acquaintance.
In Fallen London I go by the name Μαρσ.
I am a individual of mysterious and indistinct gender, born in the year 1874, under the sign of the Shepherd.
I came to the Neath about one year ago, just missing the feast of the exceptional rose.
I was attracted by the promise of a great treasure, and even more curious about all the stories people brought to the surface.
I still remember my first days, having to accept a job as a private courier just to buy a new hat.
Much has changed since then. I am now considered a Person of some Importance, living in a suite in the Royal Beth.
While at first I was afraid of talking rats, I now hunt monsters for a living. I am also successfully engaged in the same
business environment as the Gracious Widow and the Topsy king, with help from my meticulous, ruthless and alluring ‘assistants’.
I have made met and befriended wonderful characters throughout London, in every social circle, from rubbery men to the Masters themselves.
And yet I haven’t taken the time to meet some of the more colorful people walking around in Fallen London: You.
I would love to change that and would be happy to make your acquaintance.
About me in real life: I am much less shadowy or dangerous than my character, more of a watchful personality, and kind of a shy.
I like running, cycling, gaming, puzzling, and reading a good story.
Good evening.
I am the Puppeteer, controller of Malcolm Reinman, and… well…
I can’t think of anything I like, nor anything interesting about myself.
So, um… Good evening! edited by xXOrientMummyXx on 5/3/2018
Good Evening,
My name is Lord Syril Dawntreader, and it is a pleasure to meet me.
I was born in 1871, near Bath.
I am currently attempting to gain leverage over Mr. Page’s to further my own personal ambitions.
I am also, as mentioned below, a Glassman.
Good evening gents (gentlemen, gentleladies, gentlekids, and other gentlentities including but not limited to gentlepeople),
Feigher, a sagacious and perilous lady, and Wrondo, a crafty and captivating individual of mysterious and indistinct gender, arrived in Fallen London a little over a fortnight ago. They arrived within hours of each other, and Londoners are not quite sure what to make of their relation - perhaps they’re old friends, or siblings. Wilder minds insist that they’re two aspects of the same person. They say that while F. is bathed in light, W. hides in the shadows.
F. is a Watcher, whereas W. is a Journalist. They’re getting to the point where they’re starting to fantasize about becoming people of some importance. They have certainly benefited from being a pair - they have the other to depend on when menaces start to catch up with them, and the other to share stories with when the grind becomes dull. However, that has also lead them to stick with each other and not associate much with others. Still, both of them would appreciate any requests for social action or acquaintance.
Good Evening. I am Methuselah Black, a man of little importance and a new arrival in Fallen London. This curious mind is inundated with the mystery of the Neath, and I greatly desire its secrets. In a similar light it is the untapped depths of the human mind that hold my fascination, and I delight in listening to the mad man and digesting the paranoid tales of the haunted crone. Because in the end people are their own secrets, and likewise keys to questions hidden in dark places. So I watch. Listen. Learn.
Good eve to you, delicious friends. I am Shadowy Stranger, a new arrival to this fine world, who is just trying his wings. I like shiny things, and have problem with sticky fingers, but can be suave when the situation (and the shiny, precious things) call for it. While I’m not the most threatening guy out there, I can hold my own in a scrap. If you want to loiter around or do some other things together, don’t be afraid to call!
Hi Alaric here. Just thought I’d pop by and introduce myself. I like games, games and sci-find! Oh, and cake! Hope to see you in game. edited by AlaricCrane on 7/6/2018
Greetings all. Returning to Fallen London after a lengthy absence – the last Echo to my main’s FL journal was back in 2013(!). Long enough that the game has changed quite a bit, and I’ve forgotten so much that it’s like starting over. So I have started over with an alt to experience all the new/revised content. And with much fear and trembling, put my old main onto the Seeking Road.
I’ve always played the game in "single-player", so I’m now experimenting with the social side. See you around!
Hello, I’m Lost. I’ve played before, but only recently returned and started anew. I’m thinking about trying out the social side of the game – once I know how it all works.
Good evening delicious friends. I arrived in Fallen London a little over a year ago, though I admit I kept mostly to myself. I am a poetess and a scholar above all else. If perchance you’ve overheard any rumors regarding myself and sedition well…one cannot bring liberation with breaking a few shackles.
Greetings and salutations to all my fine new friends,
I have been absent for about a year, but the ache returned and soon so did I. It seemed appropriate that I take to the guise of a befuddled but enthusiastic foreigner, since my main tactic in Fallen London appears to be wandering about and bumping into stories and opportunities without any real rhyme or reason. I’ve made a forum account initially to find people to interact with in-game, but also to involve myself in any roleplaying that may happen about the place. Please feel free to send me a message in either capacity and I shall respond as quick as I am able.
