The 'good evening' thread: introduce yourself here

Greetings, greetings, ladies, gentlemen, and those of you who, like myself, prefer not to take sides.
I have dwelt down here for quite a long time now I believe (time does fly and one does rather loose track of it quite easily), but it is the first time I have wandered my way into this particular salon.
I’m a person of character and a person of scandal who can rarely be found without either. This world below has so much more to offer than the world above ever did and so I spend my days all over town in an attempt to see and do all that I possibly can.
I love it down here with my delicious, decadent, and presumptuous friends, and invite any and all of you to count yourselves among their number.

I do so love a good letter or tale, my address moves almost as often as I do but my mail gets to me eventually.

Well, I do think I hear the constables coming, and much as I’d love to stay and chat with them, I believe that quiet deviless who has had her eye on me has just wandered by, and i would so hate to be rude by not going and saying hello.
Ta for now~

Good day, I am a new Fallen London player from the heart of Europe (Vienna, Austria). I love good stories, good RPGs and good conversations. So it seems I will like this game :) At the moment I am an exclusive friend…let’s see if I like to be one after the first month. I would highly enjoy meeting people for real in Vienna for a new Pen&Paper experience.

PS:
Bugs so far: I cannot connect my account to Facebook (waiting for support) and I cannot invite other players (error:undefined).[li]

Good evening. I’m a new player engaged in stumbling about whilst Making Enquiries.

Hello all! I am VanilaIcedTee, a crafty and intriguing individual of indistinct gender(though the denizens of fallen london refer to me as The Night). I am an avid gamre with hopes of law school and rebelling against the nation. I haven’t been playing FL very long, and I don’t know anyone else who does, so feel free to add me![li]

A pleasant eve to you all, delicious friends. Having been exploring Fallen London for a good few months now, I thought it high time I introduced myself over here. Until now I’ve kept largely to myself, but I’m finding, increasingly of late, that I’m missing good old-fashioned human company. Feel free to get in touch, do, I’d welcome the opportunity to share the experience of this marvellous place with others.

The figure in a black Dignified Tailcoat walks up and says &quotSalutations delicious friend! Care to join me for a glass of wine while we dine?&quot Stopping in front of you, the figure smiles at the private joke, and smoothly gestures to a small but well appointed table with some of the finer delicacies in the Neath. The air around the figure seems to be constantly shifting, making it hard to distinguish the features of the man or creature. As if anticipating your question, a hand passes you a card. Printed in large flowing script is a name:

BLESSED
A charming and watchful individual of mysterious and indistinct gender

The figure pulls out a chair, in invitation for the Guest to sit.

Cheers, everyone! I am MrUnderhill89, and I’ve been a denizen of the Neath for about a year now, having heard of it from a professor whom I met in the Americas (OoC: I started playing Fallen London as part of a university course in Literary Games). I have been lurking around these salons on occasion, but only now have I had the impetus to declare myself openly. I hope my humble presence here will only add to an already-delicious pot of friends.

Good morning, I currently languish in Fallen London under the nom de plume of ‘Averity’, no my dears, don’t ask for reasons; too, too sad.

I’ve been playing for a fortnight, and not much the wiser for the experience! My newcomer status seems to be stuck resolutely at four; still, one perseveres…

You need to play a card to reduce your New Arrival quality. It is &quotA Strange and Lonely Place&quot, when I started it was only available at your lodgings and, if I remember correctly, the choice changed each time it appeared.

Good evening, fellow residents of the Neath!

I’ve only recently joined Fallen London but I’m finding the climate to my liking.

I’m currently going by Iloreth in game, though I may change that later if possible. Some other games I play consistently are The Lord of the Rings Online and Path of Exile.

It’s wonderful meeting everyone. :)

Greetings everyone,
My name is Jasper Tillinghast. I was a resident of Fallen London a year ago, but I fell ill and was sent to a shadowy sanitorium of which the less said the better. However, I have returned and am very much amazed at how the city has changed. I look forward to exploring the new haunts of the city with sharp excitement.

Hi!
I just discovered this game.
I go by the name irian ( http://fallenlondon.storynexus.com/Profile/irian ) in game.

Hello new friends! I am Empsk, here and in the game. I joined a couple of years ago, dropped out and then fell back in a few weeks ago. I’m going to try and be more socail this time round!

Hello, delicious friends! I’m Diana - Mercer, as you will know me here, an individual of mysterious and indistinct gender (Yes, I modelled my character here after the main character of Prototype. I do that.) I’ve been playing for about two weeks now, and I’m absolutely hooked.

My current goal is to seek that which shall not be sought. All shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.

My sister just got me hooked on this game. I’m MightyGirl and am just starting. I’m still trying to figure everything out. I’m definitely looking for people to play some of the games with me, and have adventures! [li]

A friend brought me down to the Neath some time last summer, but it’s taken me this long to feel socially inclined. Like T. S. Eliot, I value a capacity for delayed decision.

Down here, I’ve recently been designated a person of some importance and I’m looking at the moment for a skull without, of all things, eyes. Or eye sockets, since after all most skulls, when they’re called skulls and not heads, don’t have eyes. Eye-socketless skull. I definitely did not recently rob the Bazaar and get away with it.

Elsewhere, I’m a poet and poetry professor, and when I have the time, a knitter and an orchid grower. I really, really, really, really, really love how literary Fallen London is, not just in some references, but in the texture of its style and narrative – it’s a balm to my abraded American brain.

Good evening.

Greetings fellow denizens of the Neath. I’m Ignatius Oliver Lankee and I started playing about a month ago. In real life I’m an academic Librarian working in a not-quite-large (but not-small-either) American University. Looking forward to discovering more of the mysteries of Fallen London (if I ever get my password reset e-mail…). Thus far I’ve spent quite a bit of quality time in the Tomb Colonies, with Devils, and looking behind the Mirrors.

Hello friends! I’m azium, and found myself in the Neath a couple of weeks ago. It’s very strange down here so I could do with one friends!

Greetings, delicious friends!
I am Emryss, and I re-joined Fallen London as a result of Sunless Sea. Looking forward to discovering all these new storylets!

Hey I am Warb,howdy folks
