The Game of Knife and Candle

Well. Profit from my experience, you Seekers, and contemplate your priorities, as I shall be doing.

Just to let everyone know if you try and candle my tokens you will have to spend every next second of your game at zee, otherwise I will hunt you down and steal all of yours. We’ve all got a perfectly good way to get tokens by quietly stabbing each other, lets keep it that way.

also, this is how i see Alexis now

You knew what you were getting yourself into, Seeker. Take your lumps.

Well it seems I’ll take a small vacation to visit my favorite three sisters.

Yes.

So are these people traitors? Or just the lucky chosen who have acquired the first two candles?

I would assume that’s a list of us jerks with at the very least a st Arthur’s candle

I’m curious as to whether the order of that list has any meaning.

(And poor Mr. Green. What did he do to deserve being listed twice?)

Yeah, it’s not a list of those who have betrayed. Just those with a St. Arthur’s Candle. Though it definitely would be interesting if there were meaning behind the order.

I feel bad for people who are AFK with the candle right now.

Eh, all that means is that they’re more likely to get a nice haul of Silver Prize Tokens from getting somebody. I don’t feel bad for them.

Garcia1000 was mentioned twice as we’ll. every tweet has 7 names besides the two EMPTYs

Maybe those mentioned twice were attacked intimidatingly and it glitched.

So let’s review. Seekers need a particular knife to advance. The knife is either obtained by paying 77 Silver Tokens or stealing it. Anyone Seeking can have all their Silver Tokens stolen at any time.

Conclusion: it’s going to be positively Hobbesian in here.

EDIT^2: unless the cap on Iron Tokens is lifted, in which case one can go straight from Iron to Candle. I suspect somehow that the cap will not be lifted.

Of course we still don’t know how one wins the current Tournament; presumably silver tokens are involved somehow.

We should probably just give up now. Only pain and sadness lie ahead. Return to the comforting arms of places which offer customer support.

Right. Like that’s going to happen. :)

Eagerly awaiting functionality that can give me a random opponent for moon league, or at least a list. Wasn’t aware this didn’t launch with that. Or that clicking the “OK” button to join wasn’t just going to give me the rules and then ask if I accept. [but of course, I expected such a thing anyway]

Looks fun. And more my schtick.

The most recent list of opponents is in the K&C FAQ, which is conveniently linked on your Fallen London page.

A note to Alexis: Shouldn’t the first step of playing a Gambit cost zero actions? or is it meant to be an action-heavy move?

Hey, what are the recommended stats for joining this? Or it isn’t affected by those? Because I am interested injoining

K&C has its own stats, but I’d recommend moving to the Moon League until you become a POSI and get 1 or 2 4-card Lodgings. Iron League participation is limited by Opportunity Cards, while the Moon League is played through a storylet.
