Congratulations, folks. How’s the office on the scale of Nervous excitement to manic celebration?
Congrats!
Let’s not flag now but continue to push on to the stretch goals.
It’s not impossible to reach them if we get a good last week; many Kickstarters get quite a boost at the end.
I’ve been pestering everyone I know (and total strangers) to back the game.
BTW, thanks for updating the FAQ Alexis, you got 80 quid out of me now…
I’ve been boosting this on SomethingAwful’s kickstarter gaming thread, and I’m pleased to see that it’s gaining interest there.
Here’s hoping for zubmarines!
I finally got a credit card (it’s new and shiny), and my first action was to back this. It’s just 30 quids, but when it comes to tentacles, every quid counts.
Hooray! It’s so nice to see I can fund this with Nex - due to currency value difference and stuff, this is much more better option than previous way. Thank you! :)
PS:
[/li][li]Forgive my foolishness, but if the cost is the same, how does the currency value difference change just because the medium of paying is different?[/li][li]
[/li][li]I guess there’s a psychological difference. Or is the bank conversion fee greater than paypal’s?

British pound was cheaper when I bought FATE (before NEX - though I bought some NEX later). I guess. Also, since I had lots of it, I don’t want to make mistake of accidently "purchasing" some unwanted FATE options.

[/li][li]Ah. Your gain is FailBetter’s loss, currency rate wise - but any backing is better than none at all. :-)

Well, I’m not really sure about pound being cheaper then - I’m just going with instinct here. The point is that someone will gain profit, and in both case I’m happy. ( I save money / Sunless Sea get more fund ) = Good either way.
Also, I chose this because it is well past 60,000 pound goal. And this method still contribute to Zubmarine, which is holy goal.
(By Tommy Wi) £71,000 so far (KS + NEX)… I don’t think we can reach £95,000 with this speed. Look like we’ll only get to see the zee-zurface.
Whether we do or we don’t, that’s still upward of a hundred and fourteen thousand US dollars - coming up on a hundred and twenty-three thousand of our poor AUD. That’s well over double what The Silver Tree made in the full month - not to mention more money than I’ve ever seen in one place. FBG have a lot to be proud of!
If the base game sells well, the expansions will surely see the “light”
We’re almost at the zubmarines! And Alexis’ mail drove me to add a single pound to my existing pledge. Which isn’t much, but we’re getting there!
I am pleased. How should I celebrate? (I will not contemplate tattoos, or serious crimes. All other suggestions welcome.)
The very act of declaring you won’t contemplate tattoos is an act of contemplating tattoos.
By giving Failbetter more money!
By giving Failbetter more money!
At this point, that would be cruel. We’re perilously close to the £100 000 mark, and I suspect Alexis and Liam would rather be £100 under than over. For reasons I refuse to contemplate, lah lah lah…

But we need to get 200k for the Zingalong album!
You frighten me. I’m taking away your parser. Please select one of the following:
[ul][li]Do the weasel war dance;[/li][li]Send rats to fellow players, dead or alive in accordance with my opinion of their forum avatar;
[/li][li]Review a Storynexus game for IFComp;[/li][li]Write an anthropophagic maritime mystery, put it in a bottle with an empassioned plea for help and some blood-like stains, and cast it into the Thames.
[/li][/ul]
For what it’s worth, my opinion of your forum avatar is that it looks like a crocodile with carrots for a mouth looming out of darkness.
I opt to do all four. I just did them. Right now. I did it.
