Worry not. Are you perchance seeking the Name already? If you are, “betrayal” as they call it, is not possible… You must abandon your search first.
I didn’t realise they’ve updated it so you can only be freed from the name once! I already have that quality— sorry for wasting your time.
Are you sure? There’s not an item in your inventory called “A Bad End”?
A former Seeker cannot be Betrayed normally: using “A Bad End” to turn back from the Search gives the “Freed from the Name” quality protecting from further Betrayals.
The only way to lose “Freed from the Name” and become a valid target for Betrayal again is to get a rare “Success” when opening a Mysterious Envelope during the Feast of the Rose.
You will need to search for a fresh target who never started Seeking in the first place.
