Maybe, but I highly doubt it. Seeking was Alexis’s thing, and when he left this was the content he worked hard to do. It’s the only story in Fallen London which is "done". I don’t think FBG will add anything to it.
As an example: I’ve reported what I believe it’s a bug in Seeking.
(If you’re interested: I believe it’s a bug that St Cerise’s candle is the requirement for zailing to the Chapel of Lights and Southward. I believe it should be St Erzulie’s candle as the requirement for these, since you have interactions with (not)Lilac on the way there, which doesn’t make sense before getting St Erzulie’s).
I received a response from FBG that while this might be a bug, this is how Alexis created it, so they will never know, and to ascribe potential discrepancies to the Treachery of Clocks :-)
Back in the days when that tattoo option was created, the requirements (all of the candles) were not obtainable - so it was just a nice teaser which might just have been less teasing with sporting an obvious ‘Impossible!’ tag. Seeing what is behind there now - basically nothing - and in light of FBG’s stance on this, as told by dov above, I think it’s safe to say it is just a leftover reminder of ages past which noone felt like deleting for old times’ sake, so to speak. Nothing cryptic hidden there - the text actually means what it says.
(Edit: if you ask a Seeker ‘Do you know where to go?’ under any circumstances, I sincerely would expect an absent-mindedly ‘Why, NORTH, of cou…’ before the brain kicks in and considers the context. :))
(Side Edit: anyone else toying with the thought that Alexis might have gotten the idea to do a Cultist Simulator at least in part because of exactly this? :D)
That’s the thing though. When that tattoo option first appeared, the general conclusion was that it would do nothing, because Mr Eaten’s Name wasn’t one of the possible tattoo values. It didn’t show up on the list and was never obtained through the now-absent random tattoo option. But now it’s a possible value. The option is just as useless as before, but the potential for a tattoo now exists.
That was how I got to the Chapel of Lights, actually, so yes. That’s been checked.
North is North is North.
What if you lost Beau’s candle by using the rat of glory(requires luck) and then go to the carnival? Maybe a new option is unlocked if you get Beau’s candle while you have all the other options.
Yeah, if I recall correctly FBG stated that BOOM! is retired.
BOOM! Never took your candles, that is not what I was talking about, the option that takes your candles is the searing enigma option(well, it can take your candles, it’s a rare success that gives a chance of taking each candle away).
This is irrelevant to the discussion of the Tattoo, but I’ve confirmed that the SMEN Feast option thing still exists. Don’t know if it still gets rid of your freedom from the name- Morucant hasn’t technically freed himself- but it certainly exists. You can get to it from A Mysterious Envelope and it gives some Unaccountably Peckish. edited by Morucant on 2/18/2017
Trade in a circle from Tales of Terror to Tales of Terror.

This does work and it’s what I’ve been doing, but it does take quite a while. I’ve gotten to Notability 10 with it, and I think it’s taken me nearly a month. Investing in a salon wouldn’t hurt either.
If you have lots of actions and some money, you can traduce Benthic/Summerset with a University Fellowship over and over and over… 3 cp per calumny, infinitely repeatable. I haven’t done the math but it feels slightly less time consuming.
I thought that getting the knock and returning home would stip me of all my candles.
I’ve got 2 left.
You could have kept all of them anyways but I guess you are a true seeker if you would go to the end just to lose the items from your precious collection.
