So selling off a couple items won’t hurt
I’ve gone North! Turns out turning back is harder than you’d think. That Gate was just too tantalising, just standing there waiting for someone to knock on it.
Going north soon, all shall be well
I’ve made up my mind.
I do not depart for the north until after I see if it’s possible to get the name tattoo’d this valentines season…
So, because I am a Seeker and therefore self-abnegating, I went into the lighthouse on Winking Isle and lost my St. Destin’s candle. Then returned to London to begin the notability grind… to find that now Urchins connections have been completely changed. My orphanage! My poor children/MW farmers! What will I do?[li]
How was it changed? I have no useful information, sorry.

It takes 5 Urchin favors to admit orphans in instead of the hefty CP of connected it used to. Other than that I haven’t noticed anything else that changed, so I think it’s still a good way to farm MW.
Gone NORTH. There are lies, of course. But the sentiment is sincere.

Seeking requires 200 Watchful for Winking Island. Other than that, I don’t think there are any direct stat requirements (or at least, none that that doesn’t cover). You may, however, need stats if you haven’t already opened up some of the secondary things you’ll need. Finding the Cave of the Nadir, becoming a POSI, and buying a boat are all things you’ll have to do to complete Seeking and they all either have direct stat requirements or are just generally difficult to do with low stats.

I have Watchful 200 without equipment at the moment, so I’ll be fine. I’m a POSI, have a boat, and have been to the Nadir.
It’s not like I’m selling EVERYthing; I’m just going to sell my gloves and maybe my smock because I need money for BDR items to help with Destin’s. I only got them in the first place to help with my futile attempt to gain SMEN by drowning secrets (I managed a grand total of 2 SMEN using ~15,000 secrets, if anyone’s curious).
Oh, wow. I didn’t realize how many different ways there were to get Urchins favours. Okay, this isn’t as bad as I thought. I also have picked up some extra BDR since the last time I did this, by getting an Ubergoat, so that helps enormously.[li]
I have gone NORTH, it was well as well could wellingly well be. wwwwwweeeeeeellllllllllssssss.
I heard a rumor that one is able to get their email detached from their account, allowing another character to be created using the same email, does anyone know any truth to this or is it just hearsay?

Thank you!
I admit the pieces of seeking fall together more neatly then I ever thought possible…
I understand why the “illumination” wants what it wants.
I don’t understand what use it is to bring a candle to the gate, or what part candles played in the plot of salt.
I don’t understand how the flukes fit in, but they always seem to be there. They are a pekish way to start, the true lumps come from them, and many other pieces depend on them. And yet… they are just… there.
Can anybody explain this rubbery madness?
And the drownies, just an unfortunate side effect?

The flukes are because "" is the one who managed to get them here. The drownies are because they are lesser kin to him. Candles have always held light, though I know not why candle light is important. Light, though, is one possible reason. Light has always held power.

These candles are more than light. There are seven candles, and you search for a name. Consider, sunless sea has a different name you search, with seven letters. These candles are very, very special candles that represent very specific things, their light is not the light from any other candle.
As for Salt…we just don’t know. We can guess, but even knowing the ending will not help the guesses. Perhaps the seven letter names are involved in this, perhaps something very different. It’s suspected at one point in late seeking that what you’re doing was intended by the White, as Salt’s arrival was. But his journey East? Like asking Salt, it is, if anything, certainly not something expected by White, I’d imagine.
If it is all just the game between what’s it called and the white…
it still feels as if there’s two extra players. Candles and the flukes just don’t seem to fit in the original scheming, and they seem to be trying to twist the game to thier own goals…
And yha, maybe salt DID change things in going east…
I have manufactured one calling card.
Whoever asks for it may have it.

There’s a thread over in the salons where you can probably find someone to take it
