Seeking Mr Eaten's name

And with that the Lost Cosmonaut has passed through the Avid Horizon to achieve their inscrutable goals.

I also wish to receive Destin’s for my alt, if it were not too much trouble, and I, too, would be happy to compensate for it through other means.

Either way, feel free to send Tranderas or Samia R social interactions.
It is very, very hard to increase the primary Seeking quality, and although there will be other options, they won’t make it much easier… and there are difficulties you haven’t even seen yet.

However, there is one very important clue - actually, a couple of sets of clues - that make life a little simpler, and which I haven’t seen anyone refer to yet. Even people who’ve run the numbers. Even people who’ve scrutinised the text. Even people who understand the value of cards.
I have a question, did we ever find out what this means? It was on the &quotMr Eaten Content&quot thread in the Salons on page 23, by the way

My character recently went NORTH with the Salt ending (which I still don’t quite understand). Would anyone care to fill me in on the other two endings?

I can offer screenshots of the Salt ending in return (or as proof); unfortunately, no character profile, though, as I deleted that in order to free up the email address.

If you would be willing, the Lady of Lemons is looking for St. Destin’s Candle.

Considering that thread was from old SMEN, we never will find out.

That post is from the return of SMEN, however. I personally think it’s about Winking Isle, but whatever the actual answer is it refers to the current version of Seeking.

Could’ve also been about using the free point per week via cards? I feel like at a later point it was brushed off as kinda answered or something

I’ve always felt it was about the last twenty points being much, much easier to do by zee voyage.

Are you sure? I didn’t find the thread in question, but all the threads around page 23 were last updated in mid 2015.

I actually meant page 23 of the thread, not page 23 of the Salons. Here’s a link to prevent further misunderstandings. The post in question is right at the bottom. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

My first post here

I would also like to recieve Destins candle for my main, Omniac. Willing to recompense.

Is there anything to do if one is short the required SMEN to receive Destin’s candle? It’s a lot more palatable at Hallowmass than having to grind for 12 notability.

Also, is there anything to do with seeking while slowly raising SMEN besides grinding up Appalling Secrets, Mourning Candles, or Enigmas and hoping to raise it faster than once per week with Marsh-Mired? At this point it feels impossible to grind any of those in sufficient quantities, so I’m just sitting around for the most part.

If you can get to winking isle, that is a better option. Other than that, you can pay fate for the chimney pot wars or where you and I must go and choose the SMEN ending. But yes, its suppose to be slow progress, and it would be silly to choose the fate stories repeatedly.

I got a level of Unaccountably Peckish with Where you and I must go. Maybe it’s level-locked, I was at 21 SMEN iirc.

Are there any particularly useful preparations for later to undertake while whiling away the weeks? Grinds worth getting an early start on?

Take a look at St Arthur’s candle requirements - those are probably the most demanding, grind-wise. Though a lot of people make alts to betray, but even then there are the searing enigmas from collecting the betrayals (plus a few other items needed there as well.) Yet more enigmas needed to get the Calling card later on, if you can’t get it from a Seeker.

For St Beau’s you have to give up all renown and favours, give up all your lodgings (as long as one of them is premises at the Bazaar), or pay Fate. So unless you aren’t putting effort into raising renown (or plan to spend the Fate), I’d recommend grinding the 50 Bazaar permits to get the room.

For Cerise you have to sacrifice something, and many pick that to be a classic short story. If that’s your pick, you should start saving up trade secrets as they are what you mainly will need to raise your story’s potential for it to be a classic. There are other options as well, of course. Also, if you’d be done to up to this point around Christmas, there’s the Noman possibility (also available for betrayal).

Also you may want your Notability at 12 for Destin’s candle, although if it’s within the RP bounds for your character, you can also get the Torment future. It can also be gotten right around now, with Hallowmas going on, if someone advanced enough in the story shares the getting of it.

Gotcha. I agree that it probably refers to Winking Isle; that was posted early in the SMEN return when even The Seeking Road was unfinished and Winking Isle was not yet accessible.

Seven confessions, thirteen cups of Darkdrop Coffee, 77 glasses of Bottled Oblivion, a Magnificent Feast, and a journey NORTH later …

If anyone could share the endings for Hate and Grieve via PM, it would be much appreciated.

My alternate character, Gapture, has finally completed the Seeking story.
Is there any chance someone could PM me the endings for Grieve and Salt?
